JJ Wang wins 200mm class at KO Grand Prix

The KO Propo Grand Prix was held at Steel City RC Raceway in Fontana, California this past weekend. The event was held in several 1/8th and 1/10th and 1/5th classes and in 1/10th 200mm Nitro Sedan it was Mugen’s JJ Wang with the TQ from Xray’s Mike Swauger on the 2 spot after the qualifiers. JJ then also brought home the win in the 30-minutes main final some twelve seconds in front of Mike Swauger as Bryce Butterfield rounded out the podium result for Xray some two laps down. DJ Apolaro and Jose Casas would complete the top 5 results.

Kevin Brundsen wins at SRS Rd3

Clanfield RC played host to round three of the SRS this past weekend. Agama’s Jon Hazlewood took the TQ in the Nitro Buggy class with SWorkz’s Kevin Brundsen on the 2 spot. When the flag dropped and the final was over it was however Kevin with the win from Jon in 2nd as Agama’s Callum Niblett rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Alberto Garcia wins at Summer Race

The Summer Race event was hosted by the Spanish Cartt club in Fuencarral this past weekend and it was Alberto Garcia with TQ and the win in the 30-minute Nitro Buggy main final. Ivan Ramirez came in 2nd some three laps down as Pablo Izquierdo completed the top 3 results.

Yannick Aigoin wins French 1/8 Buggy Nats Rd4

The MACSQ track in Saint-Quentin, France played host to round 4 of this year’s French 1/8th Nitro Off-road Nationals. After the qualifiers it was Xray’s Yannick Aigoin with the TQ and it was also Yannick who grabbed the pole position for the main final after coming out fastest in the semifinals. In the 45-minute main final a fierce battle for the overall was on between Yannick and his brother Jerome while TLR’s Renaud Savoya was also in the mix. In the end Yannick would hold the upper hand to take home the win in front of Jerome Aigoin (Xray) as Renaud had to settle for 3rd overall.

Wollanka & Hubert win at Austrian Nitro Buggy Nats Rd2

The second round of Austrian 1/8 Nitro Off-road Nationals was held at the A-Team Graz club this past weekend. Martin Wollanka (SWorkz/Picco/TPro) took the TQ and win in front of Dominic Bauer (Mugen/Novarossi/Pro-Line) and Jürgen Trieb (SWorkz/SPower/TPro). Martin now also leads the championship after winning the opening two races. In the 40+ category local driver Christian Hubert (SWorkz/Reds Racing/TPro) walked away with the win as Georg Horninger(SWorkz/MW Picco/TPro) and Heinz Müller (SWorkz/MW Picco/TPro) completed a clean SWorkz/TPro podium.

Pontus Larsson TQs & wins Procircuit race

The Procircuit race was held in Sweden last weekend in several nitro and electric off-road classes. In 1/8th Nitro Buggy Pontus Larsson (Serpent) would sweep the qualifiers and he also dominated the main final, bringing home the win some three laps in front of local driver, Fredrick Cederberg (Mugen) as Micke Svensson (Serpent) rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Valls & Martinez successful at Catalan Champs Rd3

The third round of this year’s Catalan Championship were held at the Montbrió track in Tarragona last weekend. The Nitro Buggy class saw Alex Valls walking away with the win some 15 seconds in front of Pol Hernando Ors on the runner-up spot. Dani Batlle completed the all-Mugen podium in 3rd. Over in the E-Buggy class it was Alex Martinez with the win from Jaume Figuls 2nd and Juanma Lerma in 3rd.

Evans & Lewis win at NorCal Summer Series Rd2

Round 2 of the NorCal On-road Summer Series was held at Nor-Cal Hobbies last weekend. EJ Evans took the TQ in the Touring Modified class as Eric Vasutin came out fastest in Nitro Touring Car. In the single 5-minute Touring Mod A-main it was again EJ who lead the field with Lex Tyler finishing only 0.15 seconds behind in 2nd place. Aaron Lewis would round out the top 3 some further 5.7 seconds back.
