Callum Niblett wins at Summer Series Rd5

Round 5 of the Summer Series was held at the Herts track this past weekend. In the main final it was Agama’s Callum Niblett with an awesome drive to take a comfortably win in a quick and well practised field. William Skidmore (Agama) came in 2nd with some heavy pressure from Team Associated’s Lewis Jones who would end the day on the 3 spot.

Davide Ongaro sweeps Nitro Buggy Euros warm-up

The warm-up race for this year’s EFRA Nitro Buggy European Championship was held in Freixedas, Portugal this past weekend. Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro continued his recent winning streak by adding another TQ and win to his already impressive 2018 season as after coming out fastest in the qualifiers and semifinal, he also brought some the win in the 60-minute main final some 22 seconds in front of HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk as Mugen’s Robert Batlle rounded out the top 3 a lap down.

Wilck & Husman wins at Swedish Cup

The Swedish Cup was recently held at the Vaxjo track with some of the country’s fastest racers in attendance. In the Electric Touring class it was Serpent’s Viktor Wilck with the TQ from Xray’s Markus Hellquist who also TQ’d a qualifying round, however he had to settle for P2 on the grid behind Viktor. After the A-mains the order would remain the same with Viktor taking the day’s win from Markus as HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk, in one of his few on-road outings, had to settle for 3rd overall.

Pavlovsky & Kosmakov win at Cup of Russia Rd2

The second round of this year’s Cup of Russia was held in Moscow recently. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class Alexander Pavlovsky brought hime the win from Ilya Plakhotnik and Mikhail Baldin. Over in 1/8th E-Buggy it was Alexander Kosmakov with the win from Mikhail Gofshtein 2nd and Alexandros Stefanescu 3rd.

Kyle McBride takes win at Queens Cup

Melbourne in Australia played host to the Queens Cup last weekend, attracting some of the country’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Kyle McBride who dominated the proceedings, taking the TQ and a dominant win in the 45-minute A-main, some five laps in front of Max Ricca as Shane Kelly rounded out the top 3 results. Behind the three, Shane Smith and Gavin White would complete the top 5.

5th Annual Quebec Classic – Announcement

The 5th Annual Quebec Classic race will be held from the 23rd to 26th of August near Montréal in QC, Canada. The event will see the attendance of reigning IFMAR World Champion, David Ronnefalk and 2014 World Champ, Ty Tessmann and it will be held in 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, 40+ Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy categories as well as 1/10th 2WD, 4WD and Pro4 SC classes. Jose Felix wins at Portuguese IC Track Nats Rd3

Last weekend’s third round of the Portuguese IC Track Nationals held in Monsanto not only saw the win of Bruno Coelho in the 1/10th 200mm class but also Jose Felix sweeping the 1/8th Nitro category. After taking the TQ Jose was also able to score the fastest lap and win in front of Vasco Sousa. In 3rd Alexandre Pereira rounded out the podium result. The next round of the championship will be held on the 14th and 15th of July at the Associação Modelismo Vila Real track.

Jessica Palsson wins at South Swedish Cup Rd2

The city of Höör played host to round 2 of the South Swedish Cup last weekend. HB Racing’s Hampus Berg made a clean sweep in the qualifiers from Jessica Palsson (Kyosho), who suffered a bit from the aftermath of illness, however starting from the P2 spot onto the 30-minutes main final she still got all cards on the table for an even better result. In the end Jessica was able to bring home the win with a 23-seconds margin on 2nd placed Hampus Berg despite an extra fuel stop. HB Racing driver Oskar Levin rounded out the top 3 results.
