Jean-Pierrick Sartel FX-powered for 2018

FX Engines have announced that French frontrunner, Jean-Pierrick Sartel is joining the FX Engines team for 2018. JP will attend races such as the French Nationals, the Euros and the Neo Race and he had the following to say about the deal:

I am very happy to join the FX team for this year 2018. I cannot wait to start this season with the FX engines. The performance and reliability of FX engines is great and it will allow me to win many races. I am grateful for this opportunity.

Rafael Panayi TQs & wins at ENEOS Cup

The TQ RC Raceway off-road track of Nicosia, Cyprus played host to the recent ENEOS Cup race. Good weather made for perfect racing conditions, however the bumpy, low to medium traction track conditions were a bit of a challenge for the drivers. Xray’s Rafael Panayi was in control of things all day, taking the hattrick of TQ, win and fastest lap to round out a perfect weekend. Savvas Savva (Xray) came in 2nd from HongNor driver Charis Kkolis in 3rd.

Savvas Savva takes RCE Cyprus Championship

The RCE Cyprus Championship concluded recently and it was Xray’s Savvas Savva who took the overall championship title. The series was held over five rounds at the Dirt Paradise track in Nicosia and Mugen’s Fotis Foti would obtain the overall runner-up spot. The top 3 podium was rounded out by HB Racing driver Marios Iordanou.

2018 Southern Indoor Championships – Report

The 2018 Southern Indoor Championships were held in Autaugaville, Alabama last weekend with 516 entries making for a very competitive field. 1/8th Pro Nitro Buggy saw HB Racing/’s Cole Ogden taking the TQ and win in a very fast field of drivers. Tekno’s Ryan Lutz would come out in 2nd, HB Racing’s Chandler Elliot put in a great drive to finish 3rd, Team Associated’s Blake Pickett 4th and Team Associated’s Evan Vail 5th.

2018 Quebec Indoor Nationals – Announcement

The 4th annual Québec Indoor Nationals will be held at the Dégelis Arena in Quebec, Canada from the 19th to 22nd of April. The track will be designed by JTQ and 70 trucks of clay will make for another awesome experience with indoor pitting available for everyone. Classes run are 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Truck, 1/8th E-Buggy and E-Truck as well as 1/8th Nitro Buggy 35+ along 1/10th 2WD, 4WD and SCT 4×4 racing. Sign-up for the race is available here.

Riccardo Berton O.S. Speed powered for 2018

O.S. Engines have announced the addition of Italy’s Riccardo Berton to their factory team for the 2018 season. The former EFRA “B” European and National Champion will be using O.S. Speed engines in his Kyosho 1/8th nitro buggy rides while attending all major national and international races.

Kyosho Europe welcome Carlos Fonseca

Kyosho Europe have announced the signing of Carlos Fonseca to their team. The Portuguese 1/8th off-road front-runner will campaign Kyosho’s 1/8th off-road platforms this coming season and this is what he has to say about the deal:

Mikey Griffin takes SIC Open Buggy title

The 2018 Southern Indoor Championships were held in Autaugaville, Alabama this past weekend. The 1/8th off-road event offered the usual array of Pro, Open, and Sportsman classes along an Open SCT category and taking home the TQ and win in the Open Nitro Buggy class would be Kyosho driver Mikey Griffin (Kyosho). The race had over 500 entries and Mike’s Open Buggy class was the second biggest of the event with more than 50 drivers. Peter Husser (Agama) would end the A-main some 15 seconds down on Mikey with privateer Matt Mehring (Kyosho) rounding out the podium in 3rd, another 3.7 seconds down.
