Dario Balestri re-signs with Capricorn for 2015

Capricorn have announced that multiple European champion Dario Balestri has re-signed with them for 2015. The current 1/8th European champion will be running both 1/10th and 1/8th chassis, but new for this season Dario will use Capricorn fuel and tyres. Dario had the following to say:

I would like to thank Piero Torregiani from contact for all the support over the time that I have been racing for him. Also to Matteo Passerini at runner time for the help that he has gave to me. Lastly thanks to Patrizio Rossi for giving me the opportunity to run for another season with them.

Marco Baruffolo renews with RB

RB Products announce the contract extension with young double European Champion Marco Baruffolo. The 2013 Euro B and 2014 Euro A Junior Champion will run the full line of RB products including the 1/8th RB One R buggy, nitro engines, fuel and tyres and he has the following to say:

Jeff Hamon takes double Victoria State titles

Jeff Hamon takes double Victoria State titles

At the 2015 Victoria State Titles Jeff Hamon took the win in both the 1/8th and 1/10th on-road nitro classes. Steven Jovamovic came in 2nd in the 1/8th category, Tim Westwood rounded out the podium in 3rd. In the 1/10th championship Ricky Vocale grabbed the runner-up spot from Andrew Gillespie in 3rd.

Tyler Vik continues with Xray

Tyler Vik continues with Xray

Xray have announced that US top off-road driver Tyler Vik has renewed his contract with the Slovakian company for 2015. Tyler is the winner of many major US off-road races and multi time US off-road nationals’ finalist. Tyler is a multi-class off-road driver and will race with the XB8, XT9, XB8E, XB4 and the XB4 2WD and he has the following to say:

I am happy to continue to be part of the Xray factory team, and look forward to showing the performance of the cars throughout the 2015 racing season. The progress we have been doing with both 1/10 and 1/8 off-road cars is impressive and I am excited what this year will bring me. I will travel to all the major US races so do not hesitate to see me. I’d like to thank the Hudy family, as well as Ralph and Bryan at RC America for making this possible.

2015 Asia Contest – Announcement

2015 Asia Contest – Announcement

Bittydesign in collaboration with Team RC Pro and PRC announce the 2015 Asia Contest, an event born in 2013 and known to all drivers who attended the previous editions as “the funniest race they ever participated”. The 3rd edition of one of the largest independent off-road races will be held at the International Pattaya RC Power Boat World track from 24th to 26th of April 2015 and the entries are limited to 192 drivers for the Nitro Buggy class, split into a Pro and Open category. The 3-day event will see fee practice on Friday, qualifiers and an one-off “Thai vs. Foreigners” race on Saturday and the last change qualifiers, super pole and finals on Sunday. Bruno Coelho renews with Xray

Bruno Coelho renews with Xray

Xray have announced the contract extension with World and European vice-champion Bruno Coelho. The multi-talent from Portugal will fully concentrate on on-road racing for his 2015 campaign that will see outings in 1/10th scale electric and nitro on-road as well as in 1/8th nitro on-road with his race calendar including appearances at the EFRA Euros, the ENS, as well as national Portuguese and Xray Challenge events. Bruno has the following to say about the deal:

This year far exceeded, all my expectations. Xray gave me all the conditions not only to grow as a better driver, by enabling me to drive amongst the best drivers in the world, but also by integrating me in a team full of talent, that always supported and challenged me to be better and to do better. Cole Ogden wins at the 2015 January Jam

The 2015 January Jam hosted by Flowood RC Indoor Park located in Flowood, Mississippi took place this past weekend. In the Pro Buggy class Cole Ogden managed to take the TQ position and in the final he had some great battles with Ryan Lutz and Josh Glancy. Closing in on the last laps, Cole had a comfortable lead up until he got caught up in some lap traffic only to let Josh pass him in the last turn. Josh pushed out wide and Cole pinned it to take home the overall win by .002 of a second.

Miguel Matias continues with Xray

Xray have announced that European Champion and multi-time Portuguese National Champion Miguel Matias will continue to be part of the factory team for the 2015 season. Miguel is a professional off-road car racer with many years of experiences and a stunning list of achievements and victories. Miguel will continue to work closely with the R&D team on the further development of Xray’s electric and nitro off-road car platforms. Miguel has the following to say about the deal:

Being part of the Xray factory team has been a great experience and I am very happy for the support and backup I get. The speed of development is incredibly fast and very professional which is a great inspiration to me to improve as well. I will continue to race both nitro and electric off-road platforms. This year I will travel more and will participate also at the entire EOS series as well all the European Championships on schedule. I cannot wait for the next races, see you soon.
