EFRA GT-Rally Eurocup – Announcement

During the EFRA “Flat Chassis” European Championships that will be held from the 1st to 3rd August in Gubbio, Italy, a GT-Rally Eurocup for 1/8th scale GT and Rally chassis will be held. Being an open event, the race only requires a national licence to participate and it is understood that the race is being held to determine the need of an official EFRA 1/8th GT class.

EFRA definition of a GT/Rally Game car
Rally Game Class cars are powered by an internal combustion engine with piston and glow plug. Transmission can be on 2 or 4 wheels. They are based on 1/8th Off-road cars, with some changes to adapt them to an on-road track.

Xray Challenge Korea – Annoncement

Xray Korea invites all Xray drivers to take part at the Xray Challenge Korea. Taking place at the Kirina Circuit on the 1st of June, the race sees the running of electric and nitro 1/10th classes along a 1/8th nitro on-road class. Kennie Ekenstierna takes 1/8 Off-road Swedish Cup

The Swedish 1/8th Off-road Cup was run last weekend at the technical multi-surface track of Höör. Rainy weather on Saturday morning meant the organisers had to skip the first round of practice in order to prepare the track. The qualifying saw a battle between Christoffer Svensson, Johan Balsberg and Kennie Ekenstierna with the better end for Kennie who scored two round wins and ultimately set the fastest time to take TQ.

Serpent Challenge Slovenia – Announcement

Serpent Challenge Slovenia – Announcement

The Serpent Challenge Slovenia will be held on the 1st of June in Tolmin. The race will be held in 1/10th electric, 1/10th touring, 1/8th track, 1/8th GT/Rally and 1/5th scale classes with a factory driver supported workshop on Saturday while Serpent designer Michael Salven is present for additional support. The 3rd round of the French 1/8th off-road championship was run in Pertuis in the South of France last weekend. Kyosho’s Jerome Aigoin took the win from Renaud Savoya (Xray) while Julien Lattanzio (Mugen) came in 3rd position.

Juraj Hudy wins 200mm class at Euros warm-up

Last weekend the 1/8th EFRA European Championship warm-up was held in Kirchberg, Austria. Beside the 1/8th class a 1/10th 200mm support race was held that had Xray’s Juraj Hudy taking the win from teammate Igor Liptak after both had a nice fight in the final and Igor ran out of fuel due to his prototype FX engine running to rich. Forrai Gabor completed the podium in 3rd position.

Stendler & Callegari win at Alpe Adria Cup Rd2

The 2nd round of the Alpe Adria Cup 2014 was held in Cervignano, Italy in dry weather conditions although the weather forecast predicted rain interruptions. Jernej Vuga Stendler took TQ in the 1/8th nitro on-road class and later went on to take quite an easy win as 2nd placed Nejc Mihelic made a mistake allowing Jernej to cruise to the victory despite making an additional stop for fuel and running into clutch issues with some 5 minutes to go. In the 1/10 200m touring class Fabio Callegari took the win in front of Vladimir Knehtl and Gabor Laszlo.
