Javi Pompo wins Euro-B warm up

The 1/8th Buggy EFRA European B Championship warm-up was run last weekend on the CARTT track in Madrid, Spain. Javi Pombo (Mugen/Ultimate) came out first followed by Mugen teammate Borja Hernandez and Kyosho driver Alvaro Mardones.

Anthony Abisset wins at French nitro on-road nats Rd2

The 2nd round of the French nitro on-road nationals saw Anthony Abisset taking the win in the 1/8th class. Serpent teammate Christophe Louis took 2nd place with Romain Baehrel taking 3rd to complete the podium.

David Ronnefalk wins rain-hit Swedish Cup Rd 1

The first round of the Swedish 1/8th off-road cup was run in Skövde this past weekend. Due to constant rain during the week the track was flooded when the drivers arrived on Friday evening and the organisers quickly tried to dry the track on Saturday morning, but come the first practice round it was still very wet and only a few drivers opted to run on the saw dust covered track. When the second round started things became better and most of the drivers tried to get some laps in before the qualifying.

The Dual – Announcement

The Dual – Announcement

Pro-Line Racing announces the return of the The Dual race for the weekend of the 1st of June. The Dual is a unique race that sees two days of racing on two entirely different tracks –  the Pro-Line test track on the 31st of May and Thunder Alley Raceway on the 1st of June. Run in several nitro buggy, an open electric buggy and invite nitro buggy and truggy classes, the race will see Jimmy Babock as the announcer, a raffle for the racers, a Monster Energy trophy girl for the looks and many more. Jörn Neumann wins at German nats qualifier

Jörn Neumann wins at German nats qualifier

A qualifying round for the German 1/8th Nitro Buggy nationals was held at the Oberhausen track last weekend. Team Durango driver Jörn Neumann (Team Durango/FX) showed great speed with the new DNX8 prototype right from the first practice run. Jörn was able to TQ and win the 30 minute final by over a lap from 2nd placed Daniel Reckward (RB/RB) and 3rd placed Marcel Guske (LRP/LRP).

Kurt van Vlemen wins at Benelux Truggy nationals Rd2

The 2nd round of the Benelux Truggy nationals was held on the astroturf track of Helmond. 35 racers from the Netherlands and Belgium attended the event that was won by Belgium driver Kurt van Vlemen (Serpent). Jarno Pijper (Xray) and Jordy Velder (Kyosho) completed the top 3 result. The national series resumes on the 25th of May in Appingedam.

Timo Schröder wins at Northern Germany champs Rd2

The 2nd round of Northern Germany Championship took place at the technical track in Braunschweig. Shepherd driver Lars Hoppe and Timo Schröder again dominated the whole weekend and showed a great performance after the double victory at the first round in Munster with Lars Hoppe finishing in front of Timo Schröder. In qualification it was Lars Hoppe who took the TQ in front of Timo Schröder and Michael Pätz in third place. At the start of the final Lars had some problems with his engine which gave Timo the chance to push him hard. After the first fuel stop Timo took the lead with his Velox V8 EC and it was an interesting fight between them for the remaining 25 minutes until Lars’ engine flamed out. At the end Timo crossed the finish line 1 lap in front of Lars with Michael Pätz completing the podium 5 laps down.

Cristiano Sartor wins 39th annual 1st May Trophy

The Pista Futura track in Italy, host of the upcoming European Championship “B”, saw the 39th running of the 1st May Trophy. Team F.V.S.S. took the pole position and also the final victory with Cristiano Sartor (Shepherd/Novarossi) coming in 1st with Alberto Tedeschi (Serpent/Max) and Michael Canton (Mugen/Max) completing the podium in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
