William White wins at Cork Summer Champs Rd5

The Irish Cork Radio Control Car Club hosted round 5 of their Summer Championship Series this past weekend. In Nitro Buggy it was William White who would walk away with the silverware after bumping up from the B-main. A lap behind William it was Jimmy Chan on the runner-up spot as Colin Whelan came in 3rd overall, some four seconds behind William.

Max Götzl sweeps Hungarian Off-road Nats Rd6

Round 6 of the Hungarian Off-road Nationals was hosted by the Homokbödöge Sport Klub last weekend. Xray’s Max Götzl was able to TQ all qualifying rounds in both 1/8th Nitro and E-Buggy, to take the overall TQs in both classes. Antonia Kovalzski would qualify 2nd and Daniel Schweizer 3rd in E-Nuggy, while Daniel Schweizer and Julius Siklodi came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Nitro class. In the 30-minute Nitro A-main Max would continue to dominate, taking the win from tone to tone, leaving behind Xray teammate, Pál Vasvári 2nd and HB Racing’s Julius Siklodi in 3rd.

Elliott Boots wins Nemo Raceway Race Three

The third Nemo Raceway Race was held this past weekend with once again some of the UK’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers in attendance. In the Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s Elliott Boots with the overall TQ and he also came out swinging in the 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind HB Racing’s Graham Alsop in 2nd, some 19 seconds behind. Agama’s Lee Martin would round out the top 3 result another five seconds back as Lewis Jones and Jack Hirst came in 4th and 5th respectively. Jamie Hall, Kevin Brunsden and Richard Barton completed the 8-car main result.

JJ Wang wins KO Propo Nitro Sedan Race

With the 200mm worlds championship cancelled due to the global pandemic, Steel City Raceway hosted the KO Propi Race in Fontana, California last weekend. Mugen Seiki’s JJ Wang would win the nitro sedan class. Due to travel restrictions, JJ’s long-time mechanic Ai was not able to travel to assist at this major nitro event in America. Mugen USA team manager Brian Thomas stepped up and assisted JJ to take the win over Capricorn’s Paolo Morganti. Serpent’s Bryce Butterfield completed the podium in third place.

Kieran Cox wins at NWN Summer Series Rd4

Round 4 of the North West Nitro Summer Series was held in Blackpool, UK this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Keiran Cox (Xray) with the win in the A-final, a lap in front of Nick Cox (HB Racing). Chris Sharpe-Simkiss (SWorkz) came in 3rd overall, while Colin Brennan and Callum Akerody-Bench rounded out the top 5 result.

Pro Stock Series – Report

The Wiesbadener Minicar Club hosted a round of the Pro Stock Series last weekend. The event was held in Open and PSS classes and in 1/8th Open it was Dennis Weihert with the win from Olaf Engelmann in 2nd and David Kröger in 3rd.

Baruffolo & Zalewski win at XRS Poland Race Camp

The 2020 XRS Poland Race Camp was hosted by Latina RC Racing recently with the workshop-oriented event featuring a nitro and electric buggy race to round out the week. All participants progressed a lot over the week and especially the rookies such as Sonia Skrzypek, Filip Pawłowski, and Asia Sych. Racing-wise and in the Nitro Buggy class it was Xray’s Marco Baruffolo who took the win at the week-concluding race with Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski coming in 2nd and Xray’s Bartek Zalewski rounding out the top 3 result. Over in the E-Buggy race it was Bartek Zalewski who lead and Xray 1-2-3 with Pawel Ntkowca coming in 2nd and Asia Sych ending the day on a popular 3rd place.

Loris Luise wins at Italian UISP GT Nats Rd2

Round 2 of the Italian UISP GT National Championship was held at the Pista Verde Fener track last weekend. In the Super GT Expert class it was Loris Luise with the overall TQ and he also brought home the win in the half-hour long A-main event, leaving behind Fabio Vigani in 2nd, some six seconds behind. Natanaele Senesi came in 3rd overall, a lap down.
