Adam Drake wins at Thunder Alley club race

Thunder Alley Raceway of Beaumont, California hosted a 90+ entry club race this past weekend with Mugen’s Adam Drake coming out on top in the Open Nitro Buggy class. TLR’s Anthony Westergaard ended the day in 2nd overall from HB Racing’s David Carracci Jr. in 3rd.

Davide Ongaro wins at Asti By Night race

The Pista D&R Race track in Castelnuovo Calcea, Italy held their Asti By Night race event this past weekend with some of the fastest Italian 1/8th off-road racers in attendance. In the Nitro Buggy class and when the dust had settled it was Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro with the win from Infinity’s Riccardo Berton on the runner-up spot, a lap down after the 30-minute A-main. Young Alessandro Scaramozzino (Team Associated) finished on a popular 3rd place, another lap behind. Leonardo Valente and Alex Zanchettin would round out the top 5 result.

Maggs & Tumilty win at NDOR Summer Series Rd1

NDOR Notts & Derby Offroad RC Racing in the UK held the opening round of their Summer Series this past weekend. 26 drivers booked in to race and 25 turned up with the biggest E-Buggy turnout seen at NDOR for a very long while. For social distancing purposes the organisers split the drivers into a 9 Nitro Buggy heat, 8 E-Buggy heat and a mixed heat of 8. The race saw four rounds of heats and dominating Nitro through the qualifiers was Andrew Pritchard who also claimed the TQ. In E-Buggy it was Ewan Tumilty and David Corden battling in out between them.

Picco welcome back Oliver Mack

Picco have announced the return of Germany’s Oliver Mack to their racing team for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The former EFRA 1/8th scale A European Champion will power his Infinity ride using Picco’s Monza 3.5cc engine starting immediately.

Rivkin TQs & wins at Southern Off Road Series Rd3

Round 3 of the Southern Off Road Series was hosted by the Loganville RC Complex in Loganville, Georgia with nearly 160 entries. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin with the overall TQ and he would also take home the silverware after the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Team Associated teammate, Jackson Brunson in 2nd, a lap down. Another two laps behind it was 11th place qualifier, Brandon Melton who rounded out the all-Team-Associated top 3 result.

Graham Alsop wins NWN Summer Series Rd3

North West Nitro of Weeton, UK held round 3 of their Summer Series this past weekend. Graham Alsop would take the win in the single Nitro Buggy A-main event, leaving behind Jack Hirst two laps behind. Nick Cox would come in 3rd overall, another lap down.

Jonatan Gandin wins at Italian ACI IC Track Champs Rd1

The opening round of the Italian ACI Nitro On-road Championship was held in Vallelunga this past weekend. In the 1/8th Expert class it was Xray driver, Jonatan Gandin with the overall TQ after the qualifiers and also the win in the 45-minute main final, some 4.5 seconds in front of Infinity’s Francesco Tironi. Emanuele Adami (Xray) came in 3rd overall, two laps behind the top 2.

Martin & Brunsden win at Nemo Raceway Race Two

The Nemo Raceway in Royal Leamington Spa, UK held their Race Two event this past weekend with about 50 drivers in attendance for the 1/8th Nitro and E-Buggy classes. Tommy Hall came out on top after the four rounds of qualifying, tie on points with Lee Martin while Lewis Jones ended the qualifiers in 3rd overall. Over in E-Buggy it was Kevin Brunsden with a clean sweep in the qualifiers as Scott Follington came in 2nd overall. The Nitro Buggy A-main then saw Agama driver Lee taking the win by 6.7 seconds in front of Lewis Jones (Team Associated) as Jamie Hall (Team Associated) came in 3rd overall, already a lap down after the 20-minute main.
