Xtreme Aerodynamics sign Dominic Greiner

Xtreme Aerodynamics have announced the addition of Germany’s Dominic Greiner to their racing team. The 2016 IFMAR World and reigning EFRA 1/10th Nitro Touring European Champion will be using the company’s popular body shells to deck out all of his Capricorn nitro and electric rides starting immediately.

John Holmes wins at PDMCC Summer Series Rd1

The Pendle & District Model Car Club in the UK held round 1 of their PDMCC HB Racing Summer Series last weekend. In the single Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s David Crompton with the overall TQ from fellow SWorkz driver, John Holmes in 2nd. After the single 22-minute A-main event however, it was John Holmes with the win some five laps in front of Kevin Kitchen in 2nd place. Darren Moffat (SWorkz) came in 3rd overall and in front of David Crompton. Phil Lodge (JQRacing) and John Huyton (Xray) completed the top 6 result.

Spencer Klein wins at Shaw’s Shout Out Series Rd4

Round 4 of the 2020 Shaw’s Shout Out Series was held at Shaw’s RC Shop in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In the premier Expert Nitro Buggy class it was Aaron Royston with the overall TQ from TJ Ball and Spencer Klein, the latter two having to go through the tie-breaker, as did 4th and 5th placed Cody Bell and Colby Purdy. The 30-minute A-main event then saw some mix-up up front round mid-race with Spencer eventually taking the lead that he would hold onto until the chequered flag with Cody Bell coming in 2nd, a lap down. Another lap down it was Colby Burdy in 3rd, a lap in front of TJ Ball. Jim Brown completed the top 5 result while TQ Aaron had to retire and only finished in 9th overall.

Ben Billing wins Ledbury Summer Series Rd1

The opening round of the 2020 Ledbury Summer Series was hosted by the Ledbury Model Car Club in the UK last weekend, attracting over 30 entries. In the single, mixed 1/8th Buggy class it was Ben Billing with the overall TQ and the HB Racing driver also brought home the win in the single 15-minute main event. Arron Knight came in 2nd overall, some 20 seconds behind as Carl O’Connor (Tekno RC) completed the top 3, only 0.039 seconds behind Arron.

Jared Wiggins wins at LCRC Raceway Season Opener race

LCRC Raceway of Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania hosted their Season Opener race over the weekend, attracting nearly 300 entries. In the Nitro Truggy class Team Associated’s Jamie Grayek would take the overall TQ, however after the 15-minute main final it was 2nd place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Jared Wiggins with the win some 17 seconds in front of Jamie. Anthony Mazzara (Mugen) came in 3rd overall, another 3.5 seconds behind.

Joni Skidmore successful at NWN Summer Series Rd2

The second round of the North West Nitro Summer Series was held in Weeton, Blackpool this past weekend. Joni Skidmore would bring home the win for Mugen some 14 seconds in front his brother and fellow Mugen racer, William Skidmore. HB Racing’s Graham Alsop came in 3rd overall, a lap down.

Ryan Maifield TQs & wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd2

Thunder Alley Raceway of Beaumont, California played host to round 2 of the JBRL Nitro Series this past weekend. The event attracted over 230 entries, including some of the country’s fastest off-road racers and several IFMAR World Champions, and in the premier class of Expert Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Ryan Maifield, 2017 IFMAR 2WD and 4WD Buggy World Champion, with the overall TQ from Spencer Rivkin, 2019 2WD World Champion, in 2nd. In the 15-minute A-main Ryan would lead from tone-to-tone while Spencer dropped back and only finished in 10th overall. Up front however, it was SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri, multi-times World Champion, who slowly worked his way up from P5 on the grid to take the runner-up spot some six seconds behind Maifield. 3rd place qualifier, Adam Drake (Mugen) came in 3rd overall to round out the podium a lap down.
