Joni Skidmore to run Procircuit tyres & Ultimate engines

Modelix Racing have announced that British off-road frontrunner, Joni Skidmore will be running Procircuit tyres as well as the Ultimate Racing engines and accessories from now on. The Mugen racer will use the products to equip his rides for the remainder of this shortened season and Modelix Racing is happy to have Joni on board.

Cristiano Sartor wins at Pista Verde race

The Pista Verde track in Fener, Italy held a friendship race last weekend, the first event following the Corona virus shutdown in Italy. In the 1/8th On-road class it was Cristiano Sartor (ARC/Matrix/Extreme Energy/Hasi) with the win from Marco Bianchi (ARC/Matrix/Extreme Energy/XRD) in 2nd. Claudio Codazzi (ARC/Hot Race/Extreme Energy/Hasi) rounded out the top 3 podium result.

Chris Boice TQs & wins at Border Wars Rd1

Round 1 of the Border Wars series was held at Amarillo RC Motocross in Amarillo, Texas last weekend, attracting nearly 130 entries. In 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was Chris Boice with the overall TQ and win from 8th place qualifier, Scottie Brewer in 2nd. Graham Hill would end the day on the 3 spot from Jimmy Deprez, who bumped-up all the way from the D-main. Brian Beck would complete the top 5 results.

Petter Solvberg takes Norwegian 200mm title

The Norwegian 1/10th IC Track Championship was held at the Starmoen track last weekend. The facility is located about 170km north of Oslo and both the regulations due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the fact, that the event was broadcasted live on Norwegian national television made for a very special atmosphere. Racing-wise no one held back and the outcome was open till the very end, with young and talented Olav Dahle taking the overall TQ. In the following Super Pole race Petter Solvberg, Oyvind Stusdal, Trygve Berntsen and Christian Hovden fought for the positions and ultimately it was Petter Solvberg who came out fastest after some very intense and nail-biting minutes.

Setser & Jacobs win at The Force Series Rd4

Round 4 of the JConcepts Force Series was held at Southside RC Raceway in Lake City, Florida last weekend. The event attracted nearly 150 entries for the 1/8th Off-road and 1/10th 4×4 SC classes and in Expert Nitro Buggy it was Kyle Phillipps with the overall TQ from Julien Oliveras, the latter having to settle for 2nd after the tie-breaker. The 25-minute A-main event then saw Team Associated driver, Lee Setser taking the overall win some 15 seconds in front of Kenny Morris Jr. (Xray). Julien Oliveras (Team Associated) came in 3rd overall, already a lap down.

Guillen & Pariente win at Madrid Buggy regionals Rd1

The opening round of the Madrid regional 1/8th Off-road Championship was held at the Mejorada del Campo track in nitro and electric classes last weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Oscar Navarro with the overall TQ from Daniel Pariente in 2nd. Ultimately it was Juanma Guillen (Team Associated) with the win from Alex Valls (Mugen) in 2nd and Daniel Pariente (SWorkz) in 3rd.

Alejandro Perez wins at Cordoba-Jaen Champs Rd2

The second round of the Cordoba-Jaen Championship was held at the Jaen track in Spain last weekend. Alejandro Perez (Kyosho/Picco/AKA) would bring home the win in the Nitro Buggy class from Juan Carlos Guerro (SWorkz/SWorkz/6Mik) in 2nd. Jose Palma (HB Racing/XTR/6Mik) came in 3rd overall to round out the podium result.

Davide Ongaro wins Finalmente Race

The Finalmente Race was held at the Ongaro Ring in Sacile, Italia last weekend and it marked the re-opening of many tracks around Italia after the Corona virus shutdown. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Team Associated’s World Champion, Davide Ongaro with the overall TQ and also the win in the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Giammarco Franzolini (TLR) in 2nd, a lap down, and Alessandro Scaramozzino (Team Associated) in 3rd, another lap behind.
