Kyle Branson wins British 1/8th Rd5

BRCA-1_8thonroadAdur

Round 5 of the BRCA 1/8th on-road Championship was hosted by the Adur club which is situated on the south coast, near to Brighton a couple of weeks ago. The weather forecast was for rain on Saturday and showers on Sunday which would make qualification very interesting. When arriving on Saturday the track was very wet and heavy rain poured down which did not relent all day with most of the drivers deciding to not run. Towards the end of the day, the track did eventually dry out but with grip levels very low, drivers decided to use the time to setup engines. Sunday, the track was dry which allowed for practice in heat order before a rain shower. The showers soon past and the track dried out very quickly which enabled qualification to begin.

Matt Chambers wins Pikes Peak Nitro Challenge

The 4th Annual Pikes Peak Nitro Challenge took place last weekend at the Colorado Fast Track in Colorado Springs. TLR drivers Matt Chambers and Lars Johnson were on hand with both drivers competing in the Expert Buggy class. Unable to make the first day of qualifying, Matt put in two TQ runs in rounds 3 and 4 to secure the overall TQ position for the A-main and would go on to win the 45 minute A-main with his Nitrotec powered TLR 8ight 2.0. Lars suffered some engine trouble early on into the race but was able to finish on the podium in 3rd. In the Expert Truggy class, TLR privateer Chris Peralta stole the show taking the TQ and win in the 45 minute A-main. Chris drove a very smart race and finished laps clear of 2nd place.
