Riccardo Berton successful at Baciccia race

The RC Off-road Rapallo track in Rapallo, Italy hosted the Baciccia race this past weekend, attracting some of the country’s fastest 1/8th off-road drivers. In Nitro Buggy it was Kyosho’s 2019 EFRA European Champion, Riccardo Berton with the overall win in the main final, a lap in front of SWorkz driver, Leonardo Valente. IFMAR World Champion Davide Ongaro (Team Associated) came in 3rd to round out the podium some eleven seconds behind Leonardo.

Ogden, Vail & Rivkin win at 2019 Fall Brawl

Badlands RC Supercross of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina held the 2019 Fall Brawl race this past weekend with nearly 190 drivers in attendance. The event was affected by the weather, making for some slippery conditions for the drivers. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was HB Racing’s Cole Ogden who made the best out of the conditions, taking the TQ and win from Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin who would end the 20-minute A-main event on the runner-up spot. Team Associated’s Lee Setser came in 3rd round out the top 3 from Jackson Brunson in 2nd and Jason Scheffler in 3rd.

Adam Drake TQs & wins at 15th Annual Toys for Tots

The 15th Annual Toys for Tots race was held at Palm Desert R/C Raceway this past weekend with nearly 130 entries. In 1/8th Expert Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Adam Drake with the overall TQ from Tekno RC’s Carlos Arredondo in 2nd. The 15-minute A-main event saw Adam Drake and Tyler Brown battling it out for the lead in the opening stages, however later on Adam would be able to establish the lead and from there he never looked back to take the win from Carlos in 2nd who ended the race a lap down. HB Racing’s Colin Herzig came in 3rd to round out the podium result.

Johnson & Switzer win at ORCF 1/8 Turkey Race

The Ohio RC Factory of Jeffersonville, Ohio held their 1/8 Turkey Race last Saturday, attracting over 60 entires. In 1/8th Pro Nitro Buggy it was Xray’s Paul Ciccarello with the overall TQ, however it was 3rd place qualifier, Serpent’s Adam Johnson with the win in the 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind Paul in 2nd some 6.8 seconds back. 4th place qualifier, HB Racing’s Scott Kuchler came in 3rd, a lap behind Paul and Adam.

Graham Alsop successful at NWN Winter Series Rd2

Round 2 of the NWN Winter Series was held at the North West Nitro club in Blackpool, United Kingdom over the weekend. HB Racing’s Graham Alsop took a popular win in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class, leaving behind HB Racing’s Nick Cox in 2nd, some two laps down. Tekno RC’s Mitchell Booth came in 3rd some nine seconds behind Nick while Chris Sharpe-Simkiss completed the 27-laps club some 13 seconds behind Mitchell.

Elliott Boots Shoot Fuel powered for 2020

XTR Racing from Spain have announced the signing of UK’s Elliott Boots to the Shoot Fuel racing team. The SWorkz and Reds Racing factory pilot will be using Shoot Fuel’s Premium Formula fuel for the 2020 season at all national and international races.

Bregante & Palomar crowned Argentinean GT Champs

The Argentinean 1/8th GT Nationals were held recently and in the GT Pro class it was Xray’s Nicolas Bregante with the overall TQ, the win and also a new track record. In a main final that saw team strategies play a major role, Beto Altesi (IGT8) came in 2nd as Damian Martin (IGT8) completed the Pro category top 3 podium result. Over in the GT Masters class it was Marcos Bregante with the win fro Silvio Magrino and Cristian Manzzini.

Yusuke Sugiura wins at 2019 Mugen Cup finale

The final round of the Mugen Cup was held at the Futaba Buggy Track in Ichihara, Japan this past weekend. In the premier Open Buggy class it was Mugen’s Shin Adachi with the overall TQ, from Yusuke Sugiura on the runner-up spot. At the start of the 30-minute A-main Sugiura took the hole shot followed by Kato and Tsuruta and was able to open up a 40-seconds gap to the field eventually. Tsuruta, who was running 3rd about mid-race, had to make way for Kobokata after some engine issues. In the end Yusuke was able to bring home the win with a lap margin on his Mugen teammates Kato in 2nd and Kobokata in 3rd.
