The Reedy Race have announced that the Sweep EXP Evo-R 36 (EXP36RPP) has been chosen as the spec tire for the 2016 Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions. Lead test driver Rick Hohwart shared his thoughts about Evo-R 36: “On the recently resurfaced and now fully cured Tamiya America racetrack, the Evo-R 36 is capable of record lap times with consistent performance from run to run and throughout the day. Mike tested both prototypes back-to-back, and confirmed the same good feeling with the new radio plate. I was so relieved! …handed Bowie Ginting the overall TQ and the pole position for the A-mains from Ronnie Suwarto who would line up in second on the grid. The opening A-main went pretty smoothly for Bowie who would take the win some 12 seconds ahead of Christian and Chandra. A2 then again saw Bowie coming out fastest with Christian and Suwardi in tow. …direct supporting after the Ted Longshaw era of which I have been racing Mugen products for the last 14 years and since the MRX3 incarnation. I am however good friends with David Spashett and Pitman Richard Sheriff on a personal level away from racing which makes this deal even more special to me and a no brainer going forward.
