Italian company WRC have expanded their recently introduced P-One brand with the addition of several new items such as tyres and chemicals. WRC have teased their new design Formula tyres back in April with the low-profile tyres resembling Pirelli’s 18 inch test wheels. They are meant to offer improved performance due to a lower shoulder height, giving more stability and improved steering precision. Also coming from P-One, and yet to be announced, is a range of touring car tyres as well as tyre additives and cleaners, greases, and shock oils. After three rounds of free practice at Round 2 of the Euro Offroad Series in Slovakia it was reigning champion Lee Martin who set the 2WD pace. With this morning being drivers first opportunity to drive the track, the Thursday test day that drivers enjoyed on the EOS’ previous two visits to the Hudy Racing Arena not permitted this season, the Yokomo driver was quickest over three laps from Xray’s Martin Bayer with the Schumacher of last season’s race winner Michal Orlowski completing the Top 3. …defiantly going to be a show for all the spectators to see. These are the up and coming racers who are striving to make it to the top but just haven’t broke through yet. Walterboro South Carolina’s Austin Odom set the tone taking the TQ and then sweeping both A-mains. As always the Novice class was fun to watch as it features the fun in RC and the newly involved racers to the hobby. …morning with temps of around 7 degrees and with the finals being mid afternoon it was impossible to test any tires as the temps for around the finals time was around 24 degrees. Aaron managed to navigate though both 30 minute semis unscathed and take the pole for each final. The Truggy class start left a little bit to be desired with the cars bunched up very tightly. …who would come out successful in the 1/8th Pro Buggy class from Team Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri and Kyosho’s Cody King. In the Pro Nitro Truggy class Ryan Cavalieri came out successful piloting a prototype Team Associated truggy while TQ Ty Tessmann (HB) had to settle for second. Ryan Lutz (Tekno) would round out the top 3 result. The Pro E-Buggy class had Ryan Lutz (Tekno) coming out fastest after the qualifiers but it was Tekno team mate Joe Bornhorst who would grab the overall win with Ryan Cavalieri (Team Associated) completing the top 3 result. European Team Magic distributors HRC Distribution have announced the signing of 3-times French Champion and multiple French Vice-Champion Cyril N’Diaye to their team.
