Hu Wei Ping crowned Chinese 1:8 Offroad Champion

T-Works/Team Associated driver Hu Wei Ping added to his tally of National Championship titles with the 1:8 Nitro Buggy victory on the return of the China Nationals after a 3 year absence for the country’s top competition.  Governing body CMAC had a busy four days of competition as both the Offroad and Onroad Championships were run side by side at the large FSR International Race Track located in Yongkang in the centre of the country.  Ping would take his Associated to the win ahead of the similar buggy of Mao Yu Jun with the Xray of Gavin Kowk completing the podium.  One of Ping’s main rivals in the Buggy final until he broke a shock ball end, Mugen driver Liu Shuo took the Truggy title ahead of the Team Associated of Zhu Lei Xiang with Xiao Si Tan third.  eBuggy would go the way of Tang Qian Jun and his Team Associated buggy ahead of the Kyosho of Liu Zhi Chen.  In 1:10 Offroad, the title went to Liu Zhi Chen.

RDRP Ultra Exhaust Pipe Clamp | Carb Dust Cover Seal

Revolution Design Racing Products has two new accessories for nitro racing. First is the Ultra Exhaust Pipe Clamp which offers a sturdy and efficient way to secure the exhaust pipe in most 1:8 and 1:10 Offroad and Onroad vehicles. Crafted from premium 7075 aluminium, it provides durability while remaining lightweight. This clamp can either be fixed mounted, acting as an additional safeguard to the set screw in the pipe, or used in a floating configuration to allow for more flexibility. In the floating setup, the pipe is secured solely by the two set screws of the Ultra Exhaust Pipe Clamp. The black anodising, combined with the silver chamfers, gives the clamp an attractive and professional appearance. Installation is easy and straightforward, enabling you to enhance the control and stability of your exhaust without consuming much time and effort.

JConcepts Updated Monster truck team shirt

JConcepts has updated their Monster truck team shirt with a new design for the big push toward the end of the racing season and build up to the RCMTC World Finals in October.  A fresh shield logo bursting in blue and grey colours hold a place on the front and rear of the shirt. The Regulator chassis monster truck is planted in large format with brushed blue “scratch graphics” just behind making sure a driver pops with vibrate colours.  A special QR code resides on the rear of the shirt for those moments when the competition needs a direct link to what’s hot in the line-up.

Yokomo SO2.0 2WD Buggy

Yokomo has released details of its latest 1:10 2WD Competition buggy, the SO2.0.  The World Championship winning Japanese manufacturer has given the latest kit 13mm big bore shock for more than 10% more capacity than before for improve performance.  It achieves both high stability and response, and draws a smooth turn arc.  New steering block makes it easy to match the regulations with new design making it possible to change the tread width by installing it inside out. Normally, the wide tread meets the race regulations, but if you use a wheel with a deep offset, you can clear the regulation by turning the steering block upside down and narrowing the axle position.  An aluminium plate is installed under the servo to adjust the weight and rigidity of the front.  You can change the effectiveness of the steering according to the road surface conditions.  In addition, the mechanical tray, which was previously made of resin, has also been changed to steel, contributing to a lower centre of gravity and improved traction.  Another feature of the SO2.0 that Yokomo has added are the front and rear wings with increased downforce and the low-profile body control aerodynamics, contributing to stability at high speeds and posture control during jumps.

Team Associated RC8 V2 Aluminium Front Shock Towers

For its latest 1:8 offroad buggy and truggy chassis’ Team Associated has released new Aluminium Front Shock Towers.  Available for both the RC8B4 nitro & eBuggy and the RC8T4 truggies, the V2 design is more durable.  The new shock towers have a 1mm pocket to capture the front upper suspension insert, as well as incorporating a 2mm longer 48mm hinge pin to support the front upper suspension arms.  The resulting combination is the most durable design to get your Team Associated vehicle across the finish line in one piece.

JConcepts S15 ET48 2.0 Body

JConcepts has announced the release of their S15 body shell for the Tekno ET48 2.0 1:8 Truggy.  The S15 body style is a staple in the line-up at JConcepts and its IFMAR World Championship winning design has served well over the years, even spawning many look-alikes around the industry.  When it comes to eTruggy racing, the Florida company has worked on and finalised an S15 for the popular truck class.  The cab is redesigned, going to single window S15 treatment, the opposing angular window layout blends into the mid sidepod winglet so famous with this design.  The roof features the centre fin stabilising structure to strengthen the cab while also providing some stability in forward tracking ability.  The bed of the body shell is a lowered area and features a deep draw with surrounding geometry to strengthen the rear of the section.  To escape out of the rear, a large ramping wing feature maintains rear stability while matching the look and intensity of the S15.  The package includes both, a nose cone, and front scoop for additional front-end downforce and enhanced steering characteristics.

Team Associated RC8B4 Medium composite arms

Team Associated has developed a new Medium composite arm material for 1:8 offroad racing.  Compared to the RC8B4 kit Hard material, the Medium arms have reduced fibre content which offers several improvements.  Medium arms are marked with a blue dot on all parts.  Benefits of Medium arms include increased impact strength while maintaining responsive racing feel as well as increased durability in cooler temperature range.  They also offer more grip on low traction conditions where added flex makes the car more forgiving.  Over the kit arm the have a slightly reduced weight of approximately 1.5 grams per arm.
