JConcepts Outdoor Turf Nationals – Report

…twist, the 2WD run with the JConcepts equipped 2WD buggy was actually faster than the 4WD class for the first time all weekend. A quick check in with the Connecticut native revealed some small vehicle setup changes and some “broken in” front and rear JConcepts tires provided the edge he needed to push the car to 15 laps in 5:13, fastest time of the weekend. Round 3 showed some promise for Jason Ruona as the first time Turf driver turned in a 15 lap run and TQ’ed the round for the first time establishing a 2nd grid position behind Alex….

Exclusive – Making the Xray X12’16

…fine tuning, the small steps towards perfection. For the 2016 version of the X12, we took some of the best parts of the 2014 and 2015 cars, combined them, and added some new innovations as well. I was always under the impression that the chassis flex and shape of the 2014 car was a better compromise compared to the 2015 version, hence this is why we reverted to that layout. However, the 2016 car will feature the production version of the prototype rear pod that I used to win the 2015 Euros. It’s a completely revised pod with much lower…

Xray is very efficient in producing new products, which is great for development and being able to test new parts quickly. Red…

North wins 1/8th class at British Open

…the 1/8th section was the return of RC legend David Spashett who was ready to put his new ARC/Picco combination to the test. This is David’s first 1/8th race for 5 years and he certainly will not be behind when it comes to driving since he is currently racing 1/12th pan cars with his Zen Racing venture, so learning the car and engines is the main priority but being a previous World and European Champion made him a firm favourite to win on debut. The format was round by round qualification with the best two results from four rounds to…

JConcepts B5 series Finnisher front & rear wings

JConcepts have a range of new front and rear wing for the Team Associated B5 series of buggies available. First up is the 6.5″ Finnisher rear wing for B5M buggies. The wing features a high-attack design with trimable rear gurney options and it offers a radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design. The wing mounts low on the vehicle allowing for a lower centre of gravity which is important in high-grip conditions. The lightweight wing features reinforcement ribs to increase lateral stiffness throughout the centre while the hi-clearance areas built into the side-dams allow…
