OfficinaRC “Smart Edge System”

New from OfficinaRC is their “Smart Edge System” which represents the ideal solution for those looking to refine the wheel arches of car bodies quickly and easily.  With the increasing importance of bodywork tuning, precision in detail becomes ever more essential, which can be challenging with traditional scissors.  To tackle this issue, OfficinaRC’s Smart Edge System comes into play.  Lightweight, balanced, highly effective, and manufactured in Italy using high-quality aluminium, the cylinder is shaped to accommodate two rubber rings, ensuring a perfect grip of the ‘sanding band’, secured by a gold-anodised threaded nut. The cylinder also features lightening holes on its base and houses a steel pin fixed by interference.  The Smart Edge System comes with the ‘Sanding Band Strong’, but a version with a finer grit called ‘Sanding Band Soft’ is also available.

Leadfinger B6 | B7 Retro-mod body

Leadfinger Racing has unveil a new “Retro-Mod” body and wing for Team Associated’s B6 and B7 2WD buggies.  In the beginning, the “Retro-Mod” design that started as a side project to create something a little different, surprised everyone by turning into one of the coolest mods in Leadfinger Racing history.  If you’re an old school racer you may notice something familiar.  In LFR’s opinion, the 1987 Optima Mid body is one of the best-looking 4WD 1:10 scale buggy bodies even today.  So, what would happen if we combined a similar body style with the both the Team Associated B6 and B7, well this is it.  This body is perfect for the modern-day racer going after that vintage look on their Associated 2WD buggy.  Made in the USA from durable polycarbonate, the new “Retro-Mod” body comes clear and ready for paint.  Protective over spray film, window masks and official LFR logo stickers are included.  The wing is sold separately.

Xray X8 1:8 4WD Pan Car

Xray has announced something new to the market with the release of the brand new X8, an electric powered 4WD pan car with a solid rear axle and front one-way axle.  This project is realised on the basis of many years of experience within the 1:8 onroad category and was designed by company founder Juraj Hudy, who himself started out RC racing in the sport’s oldest category.  The X8 is designed with the mindset of ease-of-use and simplified setup, but most importantly being easy to drive.  All of these requirements were fulfilled thanks to its concept, where all chassis components work in perfect symphony on the chassis.  The pan car features a unique sandwich chassis design with a battery tray that is integrated from the top for longitudinal reinforcement of the lower chassis plate.  The battery tray and lower chassis work together in a uniform flex system.  The unique battery tray system of the X8 works together with the lower chassis plate in a uniform flex system and this allows the car to be adjusted for different flex characteristics for different track conditions.  By adding or removing the screws on the front chassis brace the flex can be adjusted from very soft up to very stiff.
