JConcepts Aero S-Type 7” 1/10th buggy rear wing

JConcepts have introduced their next generation Aero S-Type 7” wide rear wing for 1/10th buggies. The wing includes options not yet seen before on a 1/10th off-road rear wing. An extended rear gurney lip makes tuning that much better for more grip on the loose surfaces while running the latest generation in off-road. The base of the wing design is built on the popular Aero wing but with new additions which make the wing more durable, more adjustable and ultimately a great tuning piece. The S-Type wing is a direct bolt-on piece for most 1/10th scale 2WD and 4WD off-road buggies. It features a long chord construction with revised section to incorporate some reinforced ribbing in the vertical plane below the over-hanging gurney. Cut-lines and dimpled locations are positioned throughout for trim and tuning options. The new 7” variant of the S-Type wing was used in competition during the 2019 IFMAR Worlds in Trencin, Slovakia for increased rear traction and it comes as a 2-piece set.

Axial SMT10 Grave Digger 4WD RTR Monster Truck

Following the introduction of the Axial Racing SMT10 Monster Truck Raw Builder’s Kit, Horizon Hobby also announce the soon release of the Axial SMT10 Grave Digger 4WD RTR Monster Truck. Building on the same SMT10 chassis, the Grave Dogger truck features a 1950s-era panel van body that is as ghoulishly real as it gets, from the trademark graveyard paint scheme and chrome Zoomie headers to the driver figure with glow-in-the-dark helmet. BKT Monster Jam style tyres with foam inserts add more scale realism along with impressive grip and handling on a wide range of terrain. Everything going on beneath the scale body is just as exciting. Axial designers went all out when creating the chassis and roll cage for the SMT10 Grave Digger monster truck. Very similar to those of full-size Monster Jam® trucks, the SMT10 tube frame chassis was developed for maximum strength and has an extremely realistic appearance. There are a variety of shock mounting points for suspension tuning options, with additional mounting points on the cage and at the axle for moving the shocks to a more scale, vertical position if desired. Mated to the proven Axial AR60 axle, the 4-link suspension soaks up any obstacles in its path. The truck comes factory-built and ready-to-run with updated, improved electronics and radio gear. The Dynamite 550-size motor provides higher torque and top speed for pulling off radical monster truck moves. It’s matched with a LiPo- and NiMH-compatible Dynamite 60A ESC that features forward/brake/reverse, forward/brake and crawler drive modes. The included FHSS 2.4GHz radio gear is all high-quality Spektrum brand equipment. The STX2 2-channel transmitter and SRX200 receiver provide fast response and outstanding range. Equipment needed to get the truck going includes a 2S LiPo battery pack with IC3 connector, four AA batteries, and a suitable charger.

Umberto Pernice TQs & wins at Xpress Cup 2K19

The MCM RC indoor asphalt track in Ciserano, Italy hosted the Xpress Cup 2K19 race last weekend in several electric on-road classes. In Touring 13.5T EFRA F1 it was Umberto Pernice (Team Associated/Rebellion-RC) with the overall TQ some 0.3 seconds in front of WRC Racing’s Orlando Fenili. The opening A-main was won by Diego Locatelli from Alessandro Belotti Celli in 2nd, while Umberto scored a DNF, however the latter stroke back with wins in A2 and A3 for the overall from Diego in 2nd, while Alessandro had to settle for 3rd overall after the tie-breaker with Diego.

Pro-Line Interco TrXus M/T 1.9” G8 Rock Terrain tyre

Pro-Line have introduced their new Interco TrXus M/T 1.9” G8 Rock Terrain truck tyre. Made under official license from Interco Tire Corporation, the 1.9” trail truck tyre comes in the G8 compound and it features the iconic knife edge dagger style sidewall of the full-scale TrXus tyre that has been faithfully scaled down and reproduced down to the tiny Interco logos in the side tread. The multi-stepped tyre tread provides incredible grip for the tire size with the new 4.5” tall by 1.65”” wide tyre being perfect for scale rigs begging for matching scale tyres combined with unmatched rock crawling performance. The tyre is available now and includes foam inserts.

MaxAmps have introduced their new and completely re-designed 24V 62A dual output power supply. Offering up to 1500W of output power, the dual port power supply makes it easy to power multiple high-end DC chargers, making it ideal when running multiple classes at an event or when being in need of high power output. The power supply comes with pre-installed 4mm female bullet binding posts on the outputs, it features short circuit and over-voltage protection, makes use of a heavy duty metal cabinet, measures 285x122x63mm and weighs in at about 2.2kg.

Axial SMT10 Monster Truck Raw Builder’s Kit

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Axial SMT10 Monster Truck Raw Builder’s Kit, a 1/10th scale rigid axle MT chassis. Full-scale monster truck tours such as Monster Jam fill arenas with capacity crowds eager to see world-class drivers compete in racing and freestyle events. The designers at Axial Racing have used their crawler expertise to create the perfect platform for bashers who want to build their perfect RC scale monster beast. The Raw Builder’s Kit is centred on the SMT10 tube frame 4WD chassis, which was developed for maximum bashing strength and an extremely detailed appearance. It is very similar to those used in full-size monster trucks. That is why the chassis excels at hard-core action over grass, gravel, pavement and asphalt tracks.

Reedy Off-road Race of Champions announce ’20 tires

The Reedy Race have announced that JConcepts and Pro-Line will continue to be the official tire and insert suppliers for the 26th running of the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. The only tire/foam combinations allowed at the event are the Pro-Line MC Electron (#8239-17) and Pro-Line Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-03) for 2WD front, as well as the Pro-Line MC Positron (#8256-17) and Pro-Line V2 Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-04) for 2WD rear while 4WD buggy will use JConcepts Silver Ellipse (#3198-06) and JConcepts Closed Cell Inserts (#3230) for the front and JConcepts Silver Ellipse (#3196-06) and JConcepts Closed Cell Inserts (#3232) for the rear. All the tires and foam are 2.2” size and may only be mounted on 2.2” wheels. A complete list of tire rules will be updated and can be found here. A designated tire saucing area will be set up and all application of the provided controlled tire additive must be done at this location. Included with each entry is one set of branded control tires and inserts. These will be distributed after OCRC open practice on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 that runs from 3pm-8pm. Any tire used during a scored round at the Reedy Race must have a branding mark from the event which is only available for purchase from OCRC Raceway during the event dates of January 23-26, 2020.

Pro-Line 2020 Ram Rebel 1500 MT body shells

Coming from Pro-Line are the new 2020 Ram Rebel 1500 body shells for the Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 and Arrma Kraton 6S monster trucks. The Ram body is perfect for giving the popular monster truck a tough and modern Ram Rebel look while allowing the owner to paint and recreate its favourite full-size Ram Rebel or Big Horn edition truck since Pro-Line includes two different grill and headlight trim options along with other detailed graphics on the sticker sheet. The bodies come pre-cut and made to fit the E-Revo 2.0 with extended body mounts while the Kraton 6S body is a direct fit.
