Round 4 of the popular Mibosport Cup was held at the Sport Hotel in Hrotovice, Czech Republic last weekend, attracting once again over 200 entries for the various electric on-road and off-road classes. In 2WD Modified Buggy the seeding practice was won by Ales Bidovsky while 4WD Mod Buggy was lead by Max Götzl. The 2WD Mod qualifying then saw Adam Izsay leading the way with wins in Q1 and Q2 with Q3 winner, Max Götzl in 2nd and Ales Bidovsky in 3rd. Round 4 of the Essex Carpet Clash championship was this past weekend, and the team had a slight change up for the driver for this round, running in the opposite, anti-clockwise, direction compared to all previous rounds. After the four rounds of qualifying, it was Stephen Brown in 4WD that took the pole position securing it by TQ’ing all rounds. The BRCA F1 Indoor National Championship made its way to the Sheffield RC Racing Club for round 2 of the series last weekend. With championship leader Ben Cosgrove unable to make the meeting it was going to be a round that would shake up the title race. The field were greeted with a fast flowing track that had lower grip levels than the previous round. Major setup changes would be needed to get the new Volante tyres working. …Micha put things straight again, taking the overall from Luca Rau in 2nd and Jens Becker in 3rd. Over in 4WD Modified Buggy it was again Micha with the overall TQ after winning two of the four qualifiers with Jens Becker putting his buggy on the 2 spot on the grid. The opening A-main had Micha posting another DNF with Florian Kappes taking the win from Jens in 2nd.
