GForce have introduced their new Pro tyre warmer and a battery warmer box. Starting with the tyre warmer, the new Pro variant offers a compact main unit with back-lit display, individually adjustable tyre temperatures as well as adjustable acoustics, minimum temperature and safety timer. The main unit is powered by 12VDC to 18VDC or by using a 4S LiPo battery, allowing to carry the whole assembly into the starting grid if needed. …Stein on the runner-up spot, coming from 4th on the grid, as Johann Thiersch completed the top 3 result. Over in Touring Stock 17.5T Andreas Heinkes took the day’s win ahead of Heiner Thiersch, who started from 3rd on the grid, as Thomas Nitschke rounded out the top 3. The Touring FWD class was dominated by Stefan Schulz who left behind Dennis Fadke and Rene Adolf in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The second round of the 2019/20 ONE12 Series took place at the RC Landia indoor track in Scandiano, Italy this past weekend. The venue assured great racing conditions and the perfect setup for robust attendance in both GT12 and LMP Open Modified. The race was also enriched by the presence of several top drivers, who chose the Italian race as one of their preparation stages for the IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championships to be held in early January 2020 in the UK. The MRCZ club, one of the longest running electric racing clubs in Belgium, hosted their annual Open Invitational race last weekend. The Open Invitational started over 20 years ago mainly as a 1/12th race, but evolved to an event with a mixture of fun classes and more competitive categories over time. The event is held over two days, with three rounds of qualifying on Saturday followed by two more on Sunday and also triple finals for each category. …that took the win, as Coelho started from the back of the grid, with Akio finishing in 2nd, the result meaning that Vejrak would finish 2nd overall with Sobue completing the podium. Asked about the deciding A2, Coelho said it was a very similar race to A1 with the time spent waiting on the grid the only reason for concern forcing the World Champion to be quite cautious on the opening lap. …opening round of the HK-Cup was held in Hürtgenwald in the western part of Germany last weekend. When the dust had settled and in the 2WD Buggy class it was Nikolas Schmitz with the win, coming from the 2 spot on the grid. Nikolas would secure the over with a win in A3, leaving behind Jean Baptiste Janssens and Markus Klein in 2nd and 3rd overall. Round two of the 2019/20 BRCA LMP12 Nationals took place in Poole last weekend. A strong entry of over 70 racers took part in the weekend’s racing as the season builds towards the IFMAR world championships in January. The Dorset club has a smaller track area but laid a fast and flowing circuit that required good rhythm and accuracy to secure a fast time. Saturday would see drivers competing in 13.5 and 17.5 stock classes. …the real deal. The “Shootout” portion of the race used the traditional four rounds of qualifying taking the best two rounds to sort the mains. Each A-Main also ran an extended single 8-minute main to decide it’s champions among the tradition popular classes. Fastlane Raceway underwent an awesome transformation for the race to accommodate the traveling racers with the removal of the indoor carpet track to make room for extra pit space and the track was put in specifically for the WIS race, with zero laps counted by anyone to ensure no advantage to anyone competing in the weekend’s event….
