…1:8 ROAR Nationals track Thornhill Racing Circuit. With Vegas’ world famous strip visible from the drivers stand and the airport located across the street, the venue is sure to be a huge hit with racers & teams but Jared Tebo believes the track will put on a very worthy event. Visiting the venue earlier this year along with Kyosho team-mate Cody King to test for the Silver State race, Tebo was childhood friend of the track owner Chris Tocco and after 10 years of not seeing him was reunited through r/c racing, reigniting that friendship. …same experiences as I had, so this confirmed my feelings and test results. Since the Worlds warm-up was coming up soon, I produced more ARS prototypes for Adrian Berntsen and Paul Lemieux who were going to join us for the Warm-up. I wanted everyone to run the same configuration so we all could compare and work around the same car. Comparing the ARS prototype with standard suspension at the Worlds track confirmed my expectations: at this track, an ARS car in the hands of our drivers had a clear advantage and all saw improvement over the standard suspension. …most tested parts included. In high-competition car design, every smallest detail has a definite impact on performance and handling. Now, imagine a 3rd party company that just draws a part from a desktop, produces it and sells it to the World. They have usually done no testing and therefore take no responsibility for the effect of the part on the car. Changing material hardness by a few percent or just adding/removing one screw may influence the flex of the car and make its handling completely different, not to mention that adding a completely different 3rd party option part may change…

The Italian Bientina track played host for the recent WRC Contest with many drivers using the event to prepare for the upcoming round of the Italian championships held at this track in mid-September. In the Touring Car Modified class Francesco Martini took the TQ in the first round and used the remaining qualifiers to test various settings. In the Stock class the race was on between Marco Puelo, Tiziano Borgogni, Roberto Fabiano and Andrea Valerio. At the end Marco Puelo was able to take the TQ for the finals. New from GForce comes the motor analyser, a device to check multiple parameters of car and flight brushless motors. Housed in a sturdy case with a blue backlit display, the motor analyser allows to check the motor’s KV rating, voltage and amp draw, as well as the sensors.
