The Miniautodromo S. Messina in Palermo, Sicily held round 5 of the Marka Racing Trophy this past weekend. Nice weather and a perfectly organised race made for a fun and relaxed weekend for the many drivers that attended in the two Touring Modified and a single Formula pan car class. The Touring Stock EFRA 13.5 category saw some entertaining A-mains with three different winners. Round 2 of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity kicked off this morning with a single controlled practice followed by the first round of qualifying. In a continuation of form from yesterday, the top 3 in Modified remained the same as in the opening round of the series yesterday with Jin Sawada fastest in the 4 minute qualifier. Having dominated every session since arriving in Shanghai, Jin Sawada wrapped up the overall win in Modified at Rd1 of the 2019/20 series with victory in A2. This time not having the same problem off the start line, the Infinity driver took the final by nearly 6 seconds in front of a much improved Rocket Zhang, the Serpent driver going on to win A3 from a fast closing Sawada, who started A3 almost half a lap behind the Chinese driver having been put to the back of the grid by race director Rick Wang to give the others a fighting…

Jin Sawada will start the opening round of the OneTen series presented by Infinity from pole position having taken all rounds of qualifying this afternoon at RCI V2 in Shanghai. The final rounds of the RCGP World Series were held last weekend at Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont, California. Saturday saw round 7 of the series take place, the penultimate round of this year’s championship. …was Daniel with P1 in the tie-breaker with Thomas and Joachim close behind. After the triple A-main events it was still Daniel on top after coming out fastest in all three A-mains, as Thomas and Joachim completed the top 3 results. Another competitive class, Touring FWD saw Enrico Jung and Tobias Flottau tie on points after the qualifiers and it was Enrico who would be able to retain his top spot also after the A-mains as Jacques Libar came in 2nd. Round 1 of the DieHard RC Indoor Off-Road Series was held in Snohomish, Washington last weekend, attracting nearly 160 entries that made for some competitive racing. In 2WD Mod Buggy it was Jeff Jenkins Jr. with the overall TQ after the double qualifiers, however in the single 6-minute A-main event it was Mikey Brown, coming from P5 on the grid, who would hold the upper hand to bring home the silverware some 2.9 seconds in front of Jeff. After a successful and well backed series in 2018/19, the EssexCarpetClash returned last weekend for their second season located in the south of England. The opening meeting was fully booked with both 4 and 2 wheel-drive classes, 2 wheel-drive being the more popular.
