Round 4 of the Austrian IC Track Nationals was held at the MORAC track in Graz recently. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Branislav Panak with the overall TQ, from Tamas Sagi 2nd and Bjan Miklozic in 3rd position. Tomas Liptak would round out the top 4 after the qualifiers. Later Branislav had to take a ten minutes timeout because of some problems with his car so he started from the back of the grid in the opening 20-minute A-main event. …Stock class Simon Lauter won four of the five qualifying rounds for the overall TQ as Tobias Vogel, who won a single qualifier, took P2 on the grid. In the triple A-mains Simon took wins in all legs for an early overall win as Tobias Vogel came in 2nd and Hannes Soyke rounded out the top 3 results. In the Touring FWD category it was Alexander Stocker with the clean sweep in the qualifiers and he would also hold the upper hand in the finals, leaving behind Johannes Neumaier and Michael Häuptli in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The 2019/2020 Essex Winter Series kicked off this weekend. With the championship continuing to be one of the most popular and prestigious races around, the competition was high and a few small tweaks to the series had positive responses from drivers across the board. The Aalborg RC Center hosted the opening round of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals this past weekend. The event was held in several 1/10th on-road classes and in Touring Modified it was Xray’s Patrick Danielsen with the overall TQ after winning all three qualifying rounds. Yokomo’s Frederik Hovgaard had to settle for 2nd overall as Mike Hansen, Morten Iversen and Mad Koue were all tie on points for the 3rd place with the better tie breaker handing Mike P3 on the grid. Thornhill Racing Circuit of Hutto, Texas hosted the 2019 Pro-Line Shootout this past weekend with nearly 200 entries making for a competitive event. In the premier Open Nitro Buggy A-main it was 3rd place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhorst with the overall win in the 45-minute A-main event as top qualifier, Dillon Caldwell (HB Racing) followed on the runner-up spot. 2nd place qualifier, Xray’s Ethan Lefebvre came in 3rd to round out the podium.
