With a little bad luck Cull get hung up on a divider allowing Devey to capture his first CTS title leaving Cull in 2nd and Chris Dodson In 3rd. Close racing for the three drivers. Local racer Jay Cull had the edge over the field and he took the TQ spot for the grid and ran away for A1 and A2, while JD Ramsey took 2nd and Mike See in a respectable 3rd. Last weekend the Calgary Alberta Radio Control Auto Racers (CARCAR) hosted their indoor onroad ‘Summer Slam’ trophy race in Calgary Alberta, Canada. The participants came from all across western Canada to battle for a chance to have a place on the podium. In 1/12 scale modified the cars were absolutely flying and we had Tommy Tam (YRX-12) pull the quickest lap times to TQ and win. 2nd place went to Rob Mcquarrie (P12 Evo) taking 2nd and Ryan Babcock (12R6) sitting 3rd. 1/12 scale stock saw Sammy Lee (P12 Evo) working his magic and dominating the field to take TQ…

The cars are scaled at 1/32th and feature a body shell that is shaped at the front and rear to allow the user to somewhat control and drive said ball or puck into a goal. Very reasonably priced, the focus is on fun and by including two in the package it ensures that it will be. Round 6 of the BRCA Clubmans nationals visited Coastal Model Car Racing Club in Ipswich, Suffolk and offered up a very different challenge to the drivers of the series, being dubbed the Monaco of RC racing. The tight confines, punishing barriers but rhythm nature of the track really challenges the drivers and the cars, as this track is much more about chassis setup, and driver skill, than outright power. All classes will run to BRCA Rules, the GT12 class will run on Contact “Green Stripe” the Touring class on Sorex XG-28RK and LMP12 on “Orange Stripe” control tyres. Round 4 of this years Asian Onroad Championships was held at Toms Racing Circuit in Hong Kong this past weekend. The race definitely had some hurdles to get over with the ongoing protests in the city scaring away racers and a massive amount of tourism. Racing-wise and in the Modified Touring class it was Nicholas Lee sitting on pole position and one overall win in this class in the early days of AOC, Nicholas wanted another. Round 5 of this year’s JBRL Nitro Series was held at the Wild West R/C track in Winchester, California last weekend. The event had nearly 130 entries and attracted some of the region’s fastest nitro off-road racers. In Expert Buggy it was Mugen’s Adam Drake with the overall TQ, but the 15-minute A-main event would see 4th place qualifier Jake Mayo (Xray) taking the win from 8th place qualifier Carlos Arredondo (Tekno RC) in 2nd and TQ Adam Drake in 3rd.
