Testing Times

…Just how much practice and testing is really needed? As a race organiser, I know that warm up meetings are more than just an opportunity for drivers to practice on the track – they are also a chance for the team running the races to test out all of their systems to make sure that they too are ready for the main event. Centro C4.2 alloy bulkhead & 2.5Β° suspension mount

…but a less bulky design compared to the kit’s plastic part for a sleeker overall appearance. At the same time rigidity is increased thanks to the stronger material which is ideal when racing modified classes. The second new part is the 2.5° rear hinge pink block that again is machined from high-quality aluminium and it comes black anodised. The suspension mount features 0.5° less toe compared to the kit 3° block for added straight line speed and a more agile handling on high bite tracks. Included with the block come suitable delrin hinge pin inserts. Tadahiko just one run away from being Top Qualifier

…qualifiers as a test run for the finals, it was the Sahashi brothers who still locked out the top of the time sheets. Having posted the fastest time in the days opening & third qualifier, when the only 36-lap runs were recorded, Tadahiko also ended the day with the fastest time of Q5 & the day albeit it over a full lap of his TQ pace. The Dual – Announcement

Thunder Alley R/C Raceway and the Pro-Line Test Track play host for The Dual, a unique 2-day event on the weekend of the 27th of October. Run in 1/8th Nitro Sportsman, Intermediate and Expert, 1/8th Open E-buggy and invitational Buggy and Truggy classes the race schedule sees three races at Thunder Alley Raceway on Saturday and three on the Pro-Line track on Sunday, with one throw out at each venue counting the best four to award the winners on Sunday evening. Austrian Electric Buggy nats final round – Report

The final round of the Austrian Electric Buggy nationals took place at the Steyregg track near Linz. The meeting was postponed due to the poor weather back in July. The crew did a great job to rebuild the track and they also mixed cement into the natural clay to increase the grip and durability of the surface. As Hupo Hönigl was on its way to the U.S. to test his 1/12th cars in the wake of the IIC the best chances to take the overall victory were in the hands of Team Associated’s Stefan Pfeifhofer and Yokomo driver Rene Trauner…

On the Grapevine – Chico

…smile on their face and an r/c car under their arm which they won in a $10,000 free raffle put on by the online retailer. Kendell admitted himself during the event that they lacked the experience of previous Worlds organisers, the track only up & running for a year & a half, and it was a huge learning experience but they did well.
