…Stuart a number of times but just couldn’t quite make a pass stick, not for the want of trying, until Chris Pennington made an error on the entry into the alpine section, gifting Stuart with enough breathing space to control the pace for the final minute to pick up the win. In 2WD it was a real bun fight in the first leg, with five cars fighting it out in a some what scrappy race, with Chris Pennington keeping out of trouble to come from 6th on the grid to pick up the win. …and Q2. Zak Finlay took his time and with the track looking fast in round 4 used his new tyres to try and get the top spot. Zak delivered under pressure and took a faster time than Jimmy to take the top spot on the grid. James Hart took 4th and Marcus Askell 5th on the grid (both Schumacher). Zak took victory in both legs of the finals, with rain in both during the run they provided exciting races with drivers on slick tyres in the damp conditions. The popular outdoor tarmac track of A.S.D. Rivoli Racing, located near the shores of Lake Garda, played host to the fourth round of the Italian GT12 Series 2019. With the weather finally cooperating after several rainy weekends in a row, race conditions were perfect with air temperatures reaching 33°C, while track temperatures soared to 53°C during the finals. …ARC chassis taking overall honours from Jamie Paton, both had equal points but Craig won after taking TQ. Jamie who also was running for the first time this year with his new Capricorn car, Rob Scott running Capricorn continued to be at the front taking 3rd overall. …in the super competitive Outlaw Sprint class. Max was dialed from the 1st pack to the last and showed tremendous speed in the main setting the fastest lap of the weekend. Taking home 2nd was AFX’s Phil Beardshear, who fought hard all race and moved his way comfortably into 2nd behind Flurer. …and pulling away from the field. Some 18 minutes into the race Patrick was able to take the lead and at the 20-minute mark it began to rain for about five minutes. However the track was drying up very fast and his team decided to make a full tire change after 25 minutes as the tyre wear was much higher than last year. In the closing stages Traugott seemed faster than Patrick, but with flawless driving and a perfect strategy Patrick would win the final in front of his two team mates Traugott Schär und Stefan Wüthrich. Simon Kurzbuch has taken the win at Round 2 of the 2019 Infinity Euro Nitro Series, but it was anything but easy as the three time ENS Champion seemed unlikely to even make the podium in the first half of the race.
