The MARCV track in Vierzon, France played host to round 3 of the 1/8th E-Buggy Championship this past weekend. The overall TQ went to TLR’s Jerome Sartel, however after the A-mains it was Team Associated’s Cyrille Baldini with the overall win from Jerome on the 2 spot. …wind that caused drivers so much issues earlier in the day having dissipated for the late evening run. Having gone into the final qualifier with TQ runs from Q1 and 3, Ronald Volker tried to make the most of part run tyres, as a result of his Q2 errors, but it came to an end when he became the latest victim of the entry onto the straight and rolled his Yokomo. In Expert Truck and from the start of the race, it looked to be in the bag for Davey Batta, as Matthew Gonzales made a mistake early and dropped back giving Batta a lot of space and no pressure. …under these conditions. Former Belgian champion Steve Lambrechts and Rico Claeys rounded off the top 5. Q2 was run on a drying track and most drivers opted to use the dry car with slick tyres. Under these treacherous conditions, Florian Joos again took the first spot and thus claiming his TQ spot on the grid. He led Olli Bultyinck and Thomas Stockman home. The 2019 Grand Final of the Xray Racing Racing Series was held at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia this past weekend. The race was held in electric and nitro classes and it was run both at the Arena’s indoor and outdoor tracks due to the unpredictable weather conditions. The electric classes were run on the facility’s indoor asphalt track with the Touring Modified class being the most exciting. Bruno Coelho took the overall TQ in front of Xray’s own Martin Hudy. The second round of the Portuguese Touring Car Championship was held at the AMVR track with nearly 30 drivers in attendance. The weekend was blessed with great weather, temperatures in the mid-20s, no wind, a clean track and good traction. In the Touring Car class both Carlos Manual and Hugo Miguel showed a strong pace and even made that extra lap in the fourth qualifying round.
