Starting with the shock stays, the parts are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and at 3mm they are 1mm thinner than the original parts, providing increased steering and rear traction in lower grip track conditions. The shock towers are available as separate front and rear variants. Also new is a carbon fibre centre link to connect the floating servo mount and motor mount. The final round of the 2018 Tyrollean Championship was hosted by the MRC Zillertal last weekend. The event was run on a purpose-built indoor track in the town of Mayrhofen, making for excellent and fair racing conditions. Dionys Stadler would dominate the Touring Modified class from Oliver Krähemann. Thomas Rinner rounded out the top 3 results. Overall in the championship it was Aaron Tursky with the win from Thomas Rinner in 2nd and Lukas Tschabrun 3rd. The Touring Stock class attracted 22 entries and it was a 4-horse race for the win. Hobbywing have introduced two new titanium-bonded rotors for the V10 G3 series of brushless motors. The characteristic of the rotors will provide a smoother pickup acceleration without sacrificing top speed. The fourth round of the Austrian 1/8th IC Track Nationals was held at the MORAC track last weekend. The usual suspects of Mihelic and Pucher battled for the top spot on the 1/8th Nitro class. Setting the early pace in free practice on Saturday, Mihelic TQ’d while Pucher won the Super Pole with only one Lap to qualify directly to the main final. The 45-minute main final was a clean run for the pair that separated from the field by almost five laps, leaving behind their main competitor Gerhard Kandelhart in 3rd place.
