Mattia Pesenti wins Swiss season opener

Last weekend the Modell Rennsport Club St. Gallen hosted the 1st round of the Swiss Nationals in the track of Sitterdorf and Mattia Pesenti sent us this report. The weather forecast wasn’t good so I prepared all the stuff for the rain (air filters, engine, tyres, etc.). We arrived at the track on Friday morning and it was cloudy and cold but no rain so we could test the car. My father and I worked a lot on the setup with the help of Traugott Schär. Azri Amri wins Malayisan Nationals Rd1

…laps 5:13.325 with the fastest lap of 17.814sec. 3rd to 5th were separated by 0.4 seconds. Round 3, the final round of qualifying is coming and racers who are waiting to surpass Azri Amri has…

McPappy Racing brushless chassis dyno

…in very quickly. The chassis dyno can accommodate most 1/10th, 1/12th, and 1/18th, RC pan cars, dirt oval cars, touring cars (with front wheels propped up), buggies, etc. Direct ‘motor only’ testing is a bit more work to set up, but it provides an additional level of precision because it removes some more variables. If you are looking to find small differences, direct ‘motor only’ testing can be worth the effort. Whichever test method you are using, your overall goal is to turn the slave motor as fast as you can with the least amount of amps. Source: McPappy [mcpappyracing.com]…

Xray Column – From XB8 To XB9, part 2

…Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives a deeper look into the new XB9 buggy platform in particular the suspension and drivetrain design. For the XB9 we have used the same style and type of suspension which was well proven on the 808 platform, but of course a lot of testing and different prototypes were worked around.
