In a shock announcement former IFMAR World and EFRA European Champion, Andy Moore as well as team manager Hiroyuki Kasuya have announced their departure from HPI/HB. Both ended their contracts by mutual consent after being with the company for more than 10 years. The news comes after recent problems with the HPI company, in particular HPI Europe which was put in administration in January and we are sure it is not the last team driver to announce his departure in the coming days and weeks. New through Zen Racing in the UK, the Pocket Pit lap counting system uses a small line of sight infrared transponder to send a predefined code to the track side receiver box. The receiver box in turn connects to a mobile device using Bluetooth to automatically count and time your laps using a real time stopwatch within the Pocket Pit app. You can therefore listen to your lap times live as you race using headphones or through your devices speakers. Lap times can be saved with notes enabling you to keep a database of setups for the tracks you race….

Italian company Mon-Tech have introduced a special servo and steering mount for the Xray X1. The option part, called SSS which is for “servo, steering, suspension” is meant to allow better steering response, faster cornering and improved bump handling. Made from aluminium the brace takes both the steering servo and the steering bellcrank to connect them with the front part of the chassis using the upper camber and castor plate rather then attaching them to the main chassis plate, to create a “floating” design.
