Xray ‘Black’ C=0.5 Side Spring

Another new spring release from Xray as they added to the range of Side Springs for their pan & formula cars with this ‘Black’ C=0.5  spring.  Suitable for use with the X12, X1 and X10, the ‘Black’ is now the softest of the range which now totals 6 different options.  The side springs and spring caps feature a straight design to improve side traction and handling.  The straight springs have more consistent and smoother compression which results in smoother out-of-corner exit as well as helping to prevent traction rolling.

Awesomatix A800R Steel Chassis Conversion Set

Awesomatix has released a Steel Chassis Conversion Set for their popular A800R 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The release follows months of testing & development with the SCC set to be only offered as an option part rather than a forming a future full car kit option.  Made of 1.2mm hardened spring steel, the chassis combines previously unmatched lower centre of gravity and excellent flex characteristics.  Extensive refinement of the production process enabled the required chassis flatness and hardness to be achieved. The result is an incredibly long-lasting chassis that will outlast its carbon and aluminium counterparts due to being more wear resistant and able to retain adequate flatness for longer.  The thinner chassis design requires specifically machined screws, redesigned bulkheads allowing the dampers to be spaced up to recover some lost up-travel and updated lower bumper support moulding.  These items are all included in the Steel Chassis Conversion Set.

Associated TC7.2 Factory Team Kit is back

While we excitedly wait for the release of the all new TC8 Electric Touring Car, Team Associated has decided in the meantime to give racers the opportunity to travel back almost 8-years in time with a new production run of its TC7.2 Factory Team Kit.  Surprising everyone with the release of the TC7.2cc Collector’s Clear Edition Kit in October last year, the iconic American brand then almost broke the internet when they turned up to the IFMAR ISTC World Championships in November and allowed Red RC to photograph a prototype of the TC8 with which they will return to the competition touring car market.  Originally launched in August 2018, the TC7.2 was the final touring car AE produced before exiting the Touring Car market and so their return to the category was hugely welcomed especially in it home US market.  One key update to the TC7.2 Factory Team Kit is the box art!
