O.S. 21XZ-R Speed & 21XZ-R VII engines

O.S. have introduced two new 21XZ-R engines for 1/8 scale on-road racing with both featuring superb runtime. Engineered for added horsepower and faster lap times, the 21XZ-R Speed performed well at the 1/8 Scale On-Road Worlds in Miami, Florida with Team drivers coming home in 4th and 5th place with production models. The motor features a redesigned crankcase and carb to produce smoother transitions and higher speeds while the 21M slide-valve carb features 4 adjustable control settings, including a low-end metering needle for improved torque and fuel economy. Serpent Cobra-E gets final test

…offroad designer Billy Easton made the final test of their new Cobra-E 1/8th scale EP buggy before finalising the production run. Expected to be released at the end of August, the new car was put through its paces in the US and was found to have awesome acceleration, fast cornering and balanced jumping. Sporting the final body shell, the new design is super low and narrows towards the rear channeling air flow to the lower wing. Xray Column – From on-road to off-road

…and the 1/10 scale electric touring cars European Championships warm-up in Austria. Only a week after the off-road Euros warm-up we were back on the road to another Euros warm-up, although this time we were going back to an on-road track. For the last few years the development of our T1/T2/T3 is mainly handled by Martin. As usual we had several new parts ready for testing. Daniel Reckward wins Swiss EFRA GP

…stayed for the whole first round of qualifying and it was Dominique Gross (Serpent/Ninja/JConcepts) from Switzerland who was fasted, second was Roman Kummer (Agama/TechnoPower/VP-Pro) from Switzerland, 5 seconds behind, and third Hannes Käufler (TLR/nVision/Losi) from Germany. For the second round, the track was wet but no more rain. It was Jeremy Pittet (Kyosho/Orion) from Switzerland who was the Fastest in front of former World-Champion (1998) Daniel Reckward (Mugen/RB) from Germany and Robin Frischkopf (Xray/RB) from Switzerland. Volker tops practice at ETS finale

…seed for qualifying at the sixth & final round of the 2010/11 ETS after outpacing Tamiya’s Viktor Wilck and Marc Rheinard in the second controlled practice. Once again the German tried two different cars this time to back to back test a front geardiff against a spool, the former proving the better option. Describing the ever changing track conditions as not being as good as CP1, Volker said he was surprised by his faster time for the three consecutive laps and now plans to run that set-up for this evening’s opening round of qualifying.
