24h race @ Motodrom Andernach

…only a minimum of option parts and Porsche GT3 body shells. For the second year in a row Speed Power sponsored LiFe hardcase battery packs with a capacity of 4200mAh that every team had to use. After 24 hours, 3559 laps and a total distance of around 750km the five time winners “Wild 13” claimed the top spot on the podium using 5 sets of tyres but not a single spare part, followed by the team from the Netherlands with 22 laps less. Fastrax Power-Start starter box

Xray Column – Racing Season β€˜11 Full Running

…chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj talks about this year’s races so far with a focus on their 1/8th scale World Championship debut with the new RX8 chassis. Considering that some of the drivers only got their cars a few days before leaving for the Worlds, it was no surprise to see some of them building or finishing the car at the track. Second win for Belgian Steven Cuypers in Western Germany

Second race, second win: Belgian Steven Cuypers has dominated round two of the Western German Championship 1/8 nitro on-road at Oberhausen like he did three weeks ago at the season opener at Dormagen. Again the Mugen team driver achieved pole position, fastest lap and victory. Second spot on the podium went to Tobias Hepp (Xray) ahead of René Puepke (Serpent). 40 entries were registered for this race weekend at the mecca of rc racing in Western Germany. Finally 16 racers competed in class 1 and 22 in class 2. Practice day was interrupted at lunch time by a rain shower…

Mattia Pesenti wins Swiss Rd2 in Lostallo

…Simon Kurzbuch was involved in that crash and his car had problems after and he couldn’t compete for the win. Jürg Nydegger had some problems with the receiver batteries and couldn’t finish the A-Main. Mattia Pesenti lost in the beginning of the run a lot of positions but after 10min he was again on 3rd position while Marco Müller was on the top position about 5 turns ahead. His car went really fast and the Max engine very well. He had the fastest lap with 20.177. Unfortunately he had some difficulties so Mattia Pesenti could take the lead and finished…
