VRC Column – Successful Alpha test & more

…social network community. The team is optimistic at launching the external beta test towards the beginning of December. Beta testers will be selected from the active VRC v3 member base, not necessarily the top racers only as we also need the feedback from the beginning and average user. Besides testing the game features the beta testers will also have to test all the features of the VRC World social network and report back to special beta test forums about their findings. Dream-Team storm to victory at 3h race in Oberhausen

…the rain did come back and it was raining heavily from green light to chequered flag. Because of the rain two teams – the Meister-Team with Karl-Heinz Meister, Matthias Meister and Michael Salven as well as the Team Shepherd Racing West with Andre Huntebrinker, Matthias Sielemann and Bjoern Hartlage – refused to join the race. While the Dream-Team Hepp/Schewiola/Levy pulled away from the very first lap, the race was mourning some early retirements. After less than 30 minutes the Team MRC Oberhausen with Christian Roenicke, Stefan Lautenschlager und Markus Bastians had to stop because water crippled all three Mugen. Short…

Xray Column – T3 Saga Continues

The 48th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column he goes into detail about the development and testing that went in to producing the new T3 chassis. Due to advancements in electronics in recent years, we have changed with the times and moved from brushed to brushless motors, and from NiMH to LiPo batteries. The T3 was designed for both LiPo and NiMH at its debut; some racers still used NiMH batteries, so we didn’t want the T3 to be LiPo only because many customers could be…

WC Pattaya – New in the pits

Continuing on with finding new stuff in the bits, we sat down with World Champion Atsushi Hara, who showed us his new self developed cab forward body shell. He has test this new body extensively and found it to have lots of downforce, thanks to not only the front cab, but the ridges going up the side of the cab as well as the rear winglets. This space behind the cab allows cleaner air to reach the wing for better balance, which he has found using one from another manufacturer. The body is expected to be released next month. View…
