ProTek RC 17mm magnetic wheel nuts and wrench

ProTek RC has released 17mm aluminium wheel nuts in both black and blue colour options with set screws that allow the nuts to be magnetic and fully compatible with their new hard anodised magnetic wheel wrench.  The 17mm aluminium wheel nut combinations come with four wheel nuts featuring a knurled design for a secure grip on the wheel.  Both colour combinations include six set screws per nut, allowing the nut to become magnetic, enabling swift and easy nut removal. The wheel nuts not only elevate the look of your vehicle but also ensure durability while minimising weight.  The magnetic wheel wrench is designed for durability and versatility.  The hard anodised coating not only enhances the longevity of the wrench but also ensures a robust and reliable grip on the wheel nuts.  The modular design offers flexibility, allowing the use of either a T-style or L-style handle, catering to individual preference.  For added convenience, the handle incorporates a 17mm hex hub holder, facilitating easy removal of hex hubs.

MonacoRC Bag Small Red V2.1 Weight System Tray

Following the recent presentation of its Bag Small V2.1 range, MonacoRC has released the Red Bag option with a new inner tray to carry easily and safety the SkyRC SCWS2000 Corner Weight System.  The new Bag Small Red V2.1 are distinguished from the previous version for a greater attention to detail with an interior all printed with the MonacoRC logo in red tone on tone and a superior quality of workmanship. Inside, the practical mesh pocket is also red and a MonacoRC label has been applied to embellish it.  The exterior maintains that sobriety that made this bag so loved, but for reasons of ease of use the zippers with the MonacoRC logo are now two instead of one.  The Weight System Tray has been designed for transporting and protecting, as well as keeping your workbench organised.  Essential and functional in design, it features labels describing the positions of the corresponding weights.

Raptor ‘Gold’ 1:8 GT Chassis

Italian 1:8 Nitro GT National Championship frontrunner and European Championship finalist Loris Luise has shared images of the latest evolution of the chassis from niche manufacturer Raptor, the 2024 ‘Gold’ model.  Winner of the second round of the championship but loosing out on the 2023 title to World Championship Top Qualifier Alex D’angelo, Luise describes the chassis as receiving small enhancements thanks to the collaboration with Andrea Contarini, Luigi Baroncini, Luigino Luise and William Galli.  With a super aggressive look, he added that many details are invisible from the photos but can be seen them directly on the track.

Salemi joins Nova Engines

Nova Engines has announced the signing of factory Capricorn driver Mirko Salemi who will race the Italian manufacturer’s 1:8 Onroad engines as part of his 2024 race program.   The Italian who capped of the 2023 season with victory at the season finale of the Euro Nitro Series at Leno in Italy, makes the switch from World Champion engine tuner Max Power having collaborated with Massimo Fantini for a decade.

Moto-Obscura RC10 Rear Carbon Shock Tower

Vintage racing accessories brand Moto-Obscura has released a new carbon fibre rear shock tower for the Team Associated RC10.  Made from 3mm plain weave carbon fibre, it maintains the vintage look of your retro ride while simultaneously adding strength and function.  The tower is styled after that of the RC10 Worlds Car, with four additional holes that allow the option of using wing mounts from the B6 series.  Fits all original RC10 models, as well as re-release vehicles and the RC10CC Classic Clear Edition.

Champlin joins Power HD

Leading US 1:10 Offroad racer Broc Champlin has been announced as the newest team signing by servo manufacturer Power HD.  For a long time, Champlin was known as the “Carpet Guy” but last year achieved a podium finish at the IFMAR 2WD Buggy World Championship on the dirt at Hobby Action in Arizona.  In 2023, the factory Schumacher driver participated in a total of 18 races winning 33 awards, including 10 championships, 10 runner-ups and 7 third-places.  In his nearly 5-year career in major races, he has won multiple overall championships including ROAR 1:10 Carpet Nationals, EOS in Germany, JConcepts NCTS, JConcepts INS, Florida Carpet Champs and the Open Reedy Race.  Set to use Power HD’s GTS 3 as his race servo, on the announcement he said, ‘I’m very excited to be joining the PowerHD team and I thank them for the opportunity to bring their name to the 1:10 offroad scene in America.  From high response, to sheer torque models, they raise a competitive edge with a wide variety of options to choose from.’
