The 40th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. …the last few years, it was a great time. But every contract has an end and it was time for me to make a change and now I´m looking forward to race my new cars and help develop and test for Team Durango – there are some nice projects in the pipeline. I will continue running all the LRP nitro as well as the electric power components, I will of course also stay with Proline Rubber for all cars and the radio gear is from Sanwa. A 3-hour race for 1/10 nitro touring cars will be held as a season opener on Saturday, 27th of March, at Oberhausen in Western Germany. Up to eleven teams with three drivers each and with one to three cars per team can compete in the long-distance race on the well-known 234 meter track. Following the practise from 10 to 15 the race will be started at 16 o’clock. Because it is the evening before the clock change to summer time, the race might end in twilight and under flood light. RMC Wien, the organisers of the European Championships for 2wd and 4wd electric off road that takes place on the 23rd to the 28th of August, in Traiskirchen, Austria have been in touch to tell us that the official event site is now online. …in a narrow space. By weekends end everyone looked comfortable and everyone just remembered, when in doubt steer a little to the left. 194 entries made this first annual event a smashing success. Local drivers Rod Rippee, Chris Baumgartner and Matt Gosch were always hospitable to everyone traveling from out of the area providing a much needed personal touch whenever necessary.
