R1 Wurks AAFC Advanced Anti-Friction Coating

R1 Wurks has introduced its AAFC – Advanced Anti-Friction Coating.  Apply coating to ball joints, hinge pins, steering bushings, gears and anywhere reduced friction is desired.  R1 AAFC is a liquid formula that effortlessly evolves into a dry film coating upon application. This remarkable lubricant is precision-engineered to eliminate friction and reduce wear.  It can be applied using direct or wicking methods.  With the direct method you brush R1 AAFC directly onto the surface, especially suitable for areas such as spur and pinion teeth.  For the wicking method use a loaded brush to dab R1 AAFC onto assembled parts, allowing it to effortlessly wick into the desired area. After drying, a thin layer of dry lubrication will be left behind.  This method is excellent for tasks like lubricating ball cups, suspension balls, hinge pins, steering bushings, and anti-roll bar components. The application possibilities are endless.  AAFC boasts an unrivaled ability to create an ultra-thin protective shield, fortified with the exceptional properties of MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulfide) and WS2 (Tungsten Disulfide).  This results in an unbeatable low-friction coating that redefines the landscape of high-performance lubrication.

Martin dominates Round 2 of EssexCarpetClash

Round 2 of the popular EssexCarpetClash series took place at the end of October, where drivers had a mix of both an open and tight track. The grip seemed a little lower than the first round, so a little tweak to setup was needed, but this didn’t effect any of the fast and close racing throughout the day. In 2WD it was the mega quick Lee Martin that set the timing sheets alight taking top spot in all his qualifying runs with his Schumacher LD3. Ed Kerry had a great start to the day with some great early qualifying runs, putting his Serpent 2nd on the grid ahead of Will Venables in 3rd.Harley Eldridge would have a consistent qualifying and would line up 4th ahead of Demetri Panayides. The pole man Martin, would continue his dominance and never look back in the finals, and would make it a perfect 3 leg finals taking all leg wins and the meeting overall. With a few errors and mix ups in the field all finals, it would be Eldridge that would make the most of things and constantly finish in the top spots and getting her 2nd overall for the day with her Xray. Venables would keep his grid position and finish 3rd overall.

MiBorg RCV driveshafts lubricated for life

French RC driveshaft specialists MiBorg has released it’s new innovative RCV driveshaft lubricated for life. To simplify the service and maintenance constraints of the RCV driveshaft and ensure correct use, the RCV driveshaft and its “constant velocity” technology are now lubricated in factory for life. The lubricant used is resistant to the most cleaners on the market. You can remove the dust and others track residues with a citrus cleaner or RCV cleaner with no re-lubrication required. The new lubrication covers the entire product range. Utilising the design of full-scale cars the driveshafts use ceramic balls instead of cross pins to drive the wheel axle, which results in less vibration even with steering angles and more compacity compare with double joint. This leads to a more predictable handling, higher corner speeds and less tyre wear. A steel-to-steel interface between wheel axle and bearing is provided for less play and less bearing wear compared to the original assembly. It’s associated with the MiBorg original pin less wheel axle adapters for a better wheel concentricity. The driveshaft centre of rotation is aligned with the steering axis to ensure an easy handling of the car.
