Utilizing his Factory Team RC8T and recently released Reedy 121 VR engine, Ryan Maifield dominated the competition at Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, IL at the ROAR 1/8 Truggy Nationals. In qualifying, Maifield lead the field each round by beating the best in the country time after time. Even after securing the top qualifying spot by round three, Maifield chose to run round four to test a chassis adjustment. …Hot Bodies LP rims) we opted to give the new LRP VTEC LP Truggy tyres a try. The low-slung D8T body was handed over to Vesa of V-Dezign for painting and as expected he did a great job. Track test The track test took place on a hard but dusty track. Therefore we opted to use LRP’s new VTEC Harakiri in Super Soft compound. According to LRP’s tyre suggestion sheet the soft compound should generate even better grip in these conditions but we stuck with the super soft tyres. …of qualifying on Sunday morning, and Marc Rheinard now absent due to a prior commitment, Viktor Wilck would take the TQ spot ahead of Jilles Groskamp and Alex Hagberg, with Wilck, Groskamp and Yannic Pruemper sharing a round win each on Sunday.
