MR33 A800 alu servo holder single arm steering

MR33 has released a new aluminium servo holder single arm steering for the Awesomatix A800R / A800MMX 1:10 Touring Car.  The 8 gram LCG servo mounts have a very low profile as no material extends beyond the servo.  This lowers your car’s centre of gravity and allows your servo housing to shine in its original design when you look at the vehicle from above.  The servo floats 0.5mm above the chassis and does not affect its flexibility.

MIBO Tool Stand

Czech brand MIBO has released a new aluminium tool stand. With storage for 6 screwdrivers, 4 power-tool bits, and a mobile phone it is an essential tool for every racer.  This practical stand has been designed with efficiency and organisation in mind when working with tools and parts.  One of the key features of this stand is the compartments, providing enough space to organise and store small parts and screws. Thanks to them, you will have all the necessary components at hand, reducing the risk of loss and significantly speeding up and facilitating your work.  It also includes an integrated slot for quick measurement of screw lengths, which is non-negligible for proper assembly and adjustment of your models. For those who like to solder their battery, or electrical device connectors, you will find convenient holes for XT60 and 2, 3.5, 4, and 5mm bullet connectors, simplifying the soldering process.  And if that’s not enough, this stand even has a slot for your mobile technology, positioned to prevent accidental tumbling when operating your phone frequently. This allows you to keep your smartphone within reach at all times, whether you’re following guides, tutorials, or simply enjoying some entertainment while working on your projects.

’23 1:8 GT World Championship Chassis Focus Index

With our first ever 1:8 GT World Championship now in the books (well published online at least), we have put together a full index of all the chassis we photographed for our ‘Chassis Focus’ during our time in Sydney.  Only the second running of an IFMAR World Championship for the category, it was exciting to have such a variety of manufacturers represented at the race with the cars having come along way from their beginnings as modified 1:8 buggy chassis.  Hong Nor become the second World Champion manufacturer, Sworkz having taken the inaugural title in 2020.  In 2025, GTe looks set to get full World Championship status giving manufacturers the opportunity of achieving Worlds double.

Tekno RC SCT410 2.0

Tekno RC has announced the launch of its latest creation the SCT410 2.0 1:10 Short Course Truck.  Building on the success of their SCT410.3, released nearly nine years ago, the SCT410 2.0 is designed to cater to RC racers and enthusiasts seeking a well handling, nearly indestructible vehicle built to withstand the harshest bashing and most competitive race conditions.  It has undergone over two years of meticulous testing and development to ensure it stands as a true successor to the beloved SCT410.3.  This new platform, derived from Tekno RC’s highly successful 2.1 1:8 racing vehicles, aims to maintain the legendary durability of its predecessor while introducing a range of enhanced features and improved handling.  Positioned as the go-to option for extreme environments, the SCT410 2.0 does not replace the highly successful SCT410SL but complements it, providing a robust and durable alternative for outdoor racing and bashing conditions.

1:8 Onroad Worlds coverage presented by Infinity

After our trip Down Under to cover our first ever 1:8 GT World Championship in Sydney last week, Red RC is excited to announced that the next stop on our World Championship tour, 1:8 Onroad in Japan, will be presented by Infinity.  In less than 2-weeks time the sport’s original World Championship category will descend on the Infinity International RC Speedway where the 23rd IFMAR World Champion will be decided.  A category through which our own interest in RC racing came about, the first World Championship we covered here on Red RC was the 2007 1:8 Onroad Worlds in Argentina so it’s a category which has a very special place in our hearts.  Nine years ago, the last time Japan hosted the event, we where on hand to tell the story of Tadahiko Sahashi home victory and last year when Infinity also made our coverage possible we where able to see Tadahiko add the 1:10 Onroad title.  Our coverage from Japan will begin on Monday, October 30th, starting with news from control practice and how the story unfolds over the next 5 days.
