Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series

…Saskatchewan took home second, and Dale Ruptash followed up in third. X-Games – Hot Bodies Cyclone 12X

…Spec speedo came into play. This time we soldered a relatively mild Team Orion 6.5T motor to it. Steering duties are taken care of by a JR/Graupner DS3781 servo together with a Futaba R604FS receiver. Power came from Orcan VTEC 4600 cells, traction and site bite was provided by Jaco purple/lilac tryes up front and pinks at the rear. Body-wise we opted for Hot Bodies delicious C-12 Mark III that promises high downforce while remaining a low-drag body. The body was painted by Kai of HYPERLINK “http://www.ok-gfx.comwww.ok-gfx.com. Xray Column – 2009 Kick-off

…all, internally we have worked on four new big XRAY projects at the same time as well as finishing plenty of new HUDY products which is by far the largest amount of new stuff we have ever worked on simultaneously. Secondly, in addition to the annual DHI Cup which kicks off the electric touring car season, we had another major and highly competitive race on schedule; the newly-added European Indoor Championship for 1/10 electric touring cars and 1/12 pan cars and the US team headed to the annual US Touring Car Championship. Adam Drake wins Silver State warmup

Last weekend was the final test at the Boulder City track to get ready for the Silver State Nitro Challenge the first week of April. Drivers from Losi, AE, Tamiya, Mugen, Kyosho, and O’Donnell were in attendance to do some final testing. The conditions were very dusty and bumpy and at the end of qualifying it was Losi / GRP’s Adam Drake on top of both the 1/8th buggy and 1/8th truck class. The conditions in the mains were even rougher and the weather was getting cold, but Adam Drake was able to come out on top again in both…

Our friends at LRP have finalized the Live page for their Touring Car masters race, which takes place in less than 3 weeks time in Eppelheim, Germany. CSO Xray NT1 Carbon chassis plate

testing and thanks to its 60 grams of weight savings, seems to give the car better fuel economy too. As with all non metal chassis plates in gas cars, heat transfer is a concern, but testing in 20 degree (C) heat proved to be no problem for the engine and chassis. They will give the chassis its biggest test to date at the KM Cup that takes place at the end of this month in Bangkok, where the competition will be strong and the heat and humidity really high.
