Roche body height adjuster & TRF417 ARB mount

Roche have introduced two new items for touring car, the first is this set of aluminium body height adjuster, the idea for which came from factory driver Elliott Harper. The adjuster makes it easier to adjust the height of the body shell, from 0-5mm. There is a 1mm o-ring inside the adjuster so that it will not change height during use. Three colours are available, blue, purple & titanium, to suit all cars with a 6mm body post. Also new for the Tamiya TRF417 is an aluminum anti-roll bar mount. CNC-machined from 6061 T6 aluminium, the roll-bar is centered by a 4mm rod stopper and the tension on the roll bar is adjusted by the 3mm set screw on both sides of the holder. With perfect alignment and a harder material than the original plastic material mounts, the roll bar will always function freely.

Smokem Racing 417FX chassis plate

The Smokem FX chassis is now available for the TRF417 and TRF417X. The new 417FX features a unique carbon weave that is integral to its innovative design. The design and carbon specification was meticulously engineered, tested and refined over many months with the help of a well known TRF driver. The 2.2mm thick chassis has an overall width of only 88mm to minimize scrubbing during hard cornering. Double victory & title for Coelho in Portugal Rd4

Last weekend saw the 4th round of the Portuguese gas on road nationals at the Vila Real circuit where this year’s 1/8th scale European Championships will be held at the start of next month. The race saw Mugen Novarossi driver Bruno Coelho TQ and win both the 1/8th and 1/10th scale 200mm classes as well as retain both his national titles. The track was very abrasive and the tires could only last ten minutes, so Bruno had to drive very carefully and conserve tires in a race of tactics rather than out and out performance. The 1/8th scale main saw Coelho take the win by 2 laps ahead of Jose Pequito in 2nd and Jose Carlos in 3rd. In the 1/10th scale class the margin of victory for Bruno was 4 laps ahead of Mário Miranda in 2nd and Hugo Mendes in 3rd.
