Serpent S411 Sport anti-roll bar kit

Made for the Serpent S411 Sport is the new anti-roll bar kit. The set includes two 1.4mm wires for the front and the rear of the car, the centring system, and all necessary hardware to convert the club racing chassis to race specifications. The set fits all S411 cars and a total of five different anti-roll bar diameters are available.

Thailand Mini-z World Champs – Announcement

RC City Thailand have announced the 2012 Kyosho Mini-z World Championship on November 23rd – 25th, 2012. The event will take place at the famous RC City circuit near the Bangkok International Airport. International Mini-z racing events are not new but this is going to be the largest of its kind in Asia. Classes include 2WD Stock; AWD Stock and Open (Modified) Class. Racers from America, China, Taiwan, France, Spain, Thailand and SouthEast Asia will compete against each other with their highly customized Kyosho Mini-z vehicles. Besides the racing weekend, Bangkok was recently named ‘World’s Best City’ by Travel + Leisure magazine therefore it is a bonus for the trip as a foreigner. Reflex Racing TC6/TC6.1 options

Reflex Racing introduce new option parts for the Team Associated TC6 and TC6.1 as well as their own RSD6 conversion. The bell crank system V3 is the latest incarnation of Reflex Racing’s ball-raced TC6 steering assembly and is designed to give smoother, faster steering response as well as increased corner speed. Also available are the steering arms V3 and the steering bridge V3. Also new are the RSD 311 and 315 shock pistons that are manufactured with the biggest diameter possible in order to provide a shock that allows less oil blow-by which allows the car to switch directions faster in high grip situations. Available are the 311 pistons with three 1.1mm holes for hot weather conditions and the 315 pistons with three 1.15mm holes for bumpy track surfaces.

Torsten Müller wins German 1/8th champs

The German 1/8th nitro on-road champs took place at the Dormagen track with 67 drivers in two classes attending. The event started with wet practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. Come Saturday the weather became better and the qualifying sessions took place in dry weather conditions. In the 45 minutes final a fight arose between Torsten Müller undo Michael Kammer with the better end for Torsten who at the end got German 1/8th class 2 on-road champion 2012.

Xceed on-road ride height gauge

Xceed introduce this ride height gauge for 1/10th and 1/12th scale on-road cars. Made from strong yet lightweight aluminium the tool comes with laser-etched markings to measure ground clearances from 2.0 to 6.0mm in 0.2mm increments.

Wayne Joelson takes SA title with Rd4 win

This past weekend Round 4 of the South African Gas On Road Nationals too place at the TRAP facility near Pretoria and it attracted over 70 entries for both Nitro Touring & 1/8th categories. Heavy rainfall on Saturday night would make the Sunday finals tricky with tyre strategy & setup. In the 1/8th category, Wayne Joelson, back from the recent Novarossi Cup event held at Fiorano in Italy, was Top Qualifier and would go on to win the 45 minute final, securing another South African Championship. He was closely followed by Willie Noordman also driving the Mugen Seiki MRX5, with Faizel Salie in 3rd.

Lamberto Collari wins 3rd & final round in Italy

Last weekend saw the third and final round of the Italian 1/8th on road Championships held in Cassino and still in with a shot of the title was Lamberto Collari, Alessio Mazzeo and Andrea Pirani. Already from Thursday things were going well for the multiple World champion, Collari very very fast with his Novarossi powered Capricorn, going on to take the TQ spot ahead of Alessio Mazzeo with his Max powered Serpent in 2nd with Dario Balestri (Motonica/Novarossi) 3rd and Nicola Marrone (Sepent/Max) in 4th. The final was hard fought but Collari would lead away followed by Balestri, Carmine Raiola and Francesco Tironi. Balestri would have to retire with steering problems and Raiola too had mechanical problems. Collari would win just ahead of his Capricorn team mate Tironi in 2nd with Alberto Picco (Mugen/Picco) 2 laps further back in 3rd.
