TOP Racing have released this optional gear diff set for their Sabre FD chassis. The complete set features plastic internal gears and anodised aluminium outdrives and spacing collars as well as all the required spacers, screws and pins to build a complete differential.
Italian company Capricorn have signed top German international racer Eric Dankel to their factory team. The former Xray driver will run the company’s Lab-C02 and Lab-C801 cars at both National and international events throughout 2012 including the 1/8th and 1/10th Euros in Portugal and Italy as well as the 1/10th Worlds in Thailand in November.

The follow up to the Motonica P8C, 2009 UISP Italian Champion, the P8C 2 Extreme is designed for the highest level of competition. Updates include a new ‘Multi Frame’ chassis with PHS bending control system and a new ‘Hi-Torque’ front suspension plate with 4 adjustment points. A new suspension plate rotating on spherical supports instead of elastomer discs gives the benefit of having more precise movements. Other improvements include new fixing clamps for the body mount that soften the hopping of the car in the curves and new stronger versions of the front and rear hub mounts. Finally the 20T and 48T kevlar pulleys are now included in the kit.

EFRA 1/10th IC chairman Franky Noens got in contact to clarify some matters regarding the rules that were decided upon at the recent AGM. Most notably is the fact that the new weight limit for the 1/10th gas class will only change to 1550 grams from the beginning of 2013, meaning the current limit of 1725 grams will be in use for this season. Team Unico Modellsport enjoyed an excellent performance last weekend at the sixth round of the National Championship at Dabas track as their drivers finished on the first three places in both Modified TC class with the Serpent S411 and the 2wd buggy class with the TLR22. 2wd buggy is a fully opened class and the heats are 7 minutes long. Almost every run was a spectacular race between well-established racer Cristian Faur from Romania and up and coming young talent Krisztian Arvai who already clinched the National Championship in the Truggy GP class earlier in the outdoor season with Cristian coming out on top in the end. Laszlo Gabor secured the last podium spot.

Italian company Capricorn have released these suspension pins for their Lab C02 chassis. Made from titanium, they are much lighter than the standard steel versions allowing you to put that saved weight somewhere better.

This past weekend we had the 5th round of the Florida State Series at the famous Worlds track in Homestead Florida and Kosmic Fuel was in the house full force. In Qualifying is was DJ Apolaro taking the TQ in Sedan and having 9 of the 10 cars in the final. In 1/8 scale is was Kenny Ives qualifying 3rd with 5 of the 10 car field running Kosmic. First up was Sedan and some close racing was expected. With DJ Apolaro getting a good start he was able to pull way and never look back. A close race for 2nd, 3rd and 4th would take place with Gianni, Eduardo and Rino ending up on the same lap, just 2 laps behind DJ. Giving Kosmic the Win and taking all the podium spots. In 1/8 scale there was a lot of action early in the race and by the half way point is was all about just trying to finish. Sean Laue would take the early lead just to have his race ended. In the end it was Gianni Giorgio taking the win, with Jamie Gonzalez in second and Kenny Ives taking 3rd. Giving Kosmic the Win and 3rd place.
Last weekend Odense RC Minirace hosted the 12th edition of DHI CUP and the big news for this years event was the off-road race run alongside the Touring Car event, a first. In the Modified class it was a battle between, Marc Rheinard, Ronald Völker and Alexander Hagberg for the Pole Position, a battle between the two Germans helped Hagberg clinch the pole position. The A-finals were very tight and in the first Rheinard managed to overtake Hagberg close to the end the run, Hagberg tried to come back and touched Rheinard’s car making him lose position and allowing Hagberg to win the 1st leg. Völker put in a steady run in the 2nd and 3rd final and with Rheinard and Hagberg also coming together in both these legs, with the Swede coming of worse each time, the Yokomo/LRP driver could cruise by to take the overall win.
