Schumacher Eclipse 6

Reigning 1:12 World Champion manufacturer Schumacher has released its latest LMP12 racing chassis kit the Eclipse 6. The new kit incorporates the latest race winning developments, to give you an advantage on the track. The new chassis features Ultra-smooth front suspension allowing for better steering response, bump handling and adjustability, thanks to a new hub carrier and kingpin assembly. It has a new Hub carrier design with PTFE filled bushes for improved suspension action. A new Damper sleeve with special surface coating maximises suspension improvements while new enclosed spring design prevents suspension change/maintenance from dirt and oil build up around the spring. It also provides increased up travel and smoother suspension action. Another key area of improvement is the servo mounting resulting in direct mounting for the Sanwa micro range of servos such as the PGS-HR and SRG-HR. Direct and easy alignment on to the centre of the car. In doing this the chassis flexibility characteristics have been vastly improved, for performance and strength, by removing the large, off centre transverse slots previously used.  All other brands of servo still can be used with the ultra-lightweight floating servo mount, included.

ARC A10-25 1.5mm Alu Chassis & +1mm Motor Mount

ARC has announced two new 1.5mm Aluminium Chassis and a +1mm Motor Mount for its A10-25 1:10 Electric Touring Car which was released earlier this year.  The new 1.5mm aluminium chassis pushes the ARC A10 series touring car into a new generation, the chassis lowers all parts’ height by 0.75mm, and the new chassis plate provides consistent flex without being affected by the air and track temperature.  With a milled slot for the motor is removed and it helps to make the flex more evenly.  The chassis weight is 84g, which is 12.5g heavier than standard carbon chassis.  ARC is also offering a flex version of the chassis with more cut holes to increase flex and reduce the weight.  This option is recommended using in the med to low traction outdoor track and compared with carbon chassis is 6g heavier.  To use either chassis options ARC has introduced a required new motor mount.  This has extended the front lower end to have an extra lower pin that can fit on the chassis.  The chassis flex in the middle-front area can be fine-tuned more.  Due to the new 1.5mm chassis being lower than the carbon chassis and the motor will touch the ground when cornering so the new motor mount raises the motor height by 1.0mm and the chassis slot for the motor was also removed.
