The start of the A-final was pretty clean with Hang leading away until the end, making the best lap of the day with a amazing lap time of 19.062 sec which is also the new track record for the current track layout. Hang was testing the H-K1 new air-wing type side battery main chassis & the front swing upper deck which given him a really great feelings in handling because left & right side of the car are completely balanced. There was tough battle between 2nd place Luk driving the new Mugen and KM driver Ray, they were fighting and chasing from the 15 minute mark until the end, with Luk holding on to the 2nd place only 3 seconds ahead of Ray in 3rd.

Andy Moore wins Winter BTCC Rd1

Andy Moore wins Winter BTCC Rd1

This last weekend saw the first running of Schumacher’s new Winter BTCC at Ardent Raceway.  The entry was quite low with about 50 drivers however the competition was seriously hot. The UK’s top drivers Andy Moore, Elliott Harper and Schumacher’s Chris Grainger all battled it out hard in the 10.5 class with Elliott and Andy putting on a great show and these two being a few seconds clear of the chasing pack on the Sorex 28JB control tyres. Andy took the TQ from Elliott with Stefan Chodzynski in third and Chris 4th.  A huge battle in both finals entertained the crowd with the top 2 places changing at various points in the races.  Eventually after a great battle Andy came out on top from Elliott with Stefan 3rd and Chris Grainger 4th. In the slightly slower 13.5T class track owner John Dawson was the man to beat (he gets some practice) ;) however Hinckley legend Dean Gibbs was close around with Schumacher Matt Lax showing strongly too with his Mi4CX. John finished up the clear winner from Dean and Matt.

Team Associated RC10TC6.1 Factory Team kit

Used by Juho Levanen to claim the runner up spot at last weekend’s ATS race in Japan, the RC10TC6.1 Factory Team kit is the next evolutionary step in touring car design from Team Associated. Building on the successfully proven TC6, the designers behind the doors of Area 51 added even more features, making the TC6.1 easier to tune and drive. The narrow chassis has been designed around current brushless motor systems and LiPo batteries, optimizing weight distribution for superior handling. To further enhance handling performance, there is updated suspension arms for increased stiffness and strength. These new suspension arms feature finer shock adjustments to help get the TC6.1 totally dialed in.
