Power HD GTS-2 Super Low Profile Servo

Power HD is wrapping up 2024 with the announcement of the addition of the GTS-2 to its popular high-voltage brushless GTS series servo range.  Over half a year in development, the GTS-2 weighs only 47-grams despite its full metal CNC case and metal gear with Power HD saying it sets a new benchmark for the lightweight servo in the RC industry.  The output gear is made of TC4 titanium alloy, which is 4.5 grams lighter than 303 steel gear and increases 50% hardness and toughness.  The servo height is 3 mm, shorter than the traditional low profile servo and is offered in two versions.  The 6 cm version features reverse wire output – the wires output from the bottom of the case, making the receiver placement space more abundant making it ideals for 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The 18 cm version uses normal wire output which is better suited for 1:10 Electric Buggy, 1:10 Nitro Touring Car  and 1:8 GP.  Compatible with the high-speed mode of major radios and the i-BUS2 protocol of FlySky Radio, it can remotely setup parameters and sense the temperature data on the FlySky NB4+ Pro Radio.  The GTS-2 servo has clear characteristics, more prominent driving feel, and a “combination of stability and sensitivity”

Schelle 16mm XTR pistons

New from Kurt Wenger’s Schelle Racing Innovations brand are these 16mm XTR pistons with custom valving that utilises the proven MIP Bypass1 platform.  The pistons, made in Covina, CA at MIP, are a custom spec design that is not available anywhere else.  The new 4 hole rebound valving gives racers a wide range of tuning that is very forgiving, making it harder to take your buggy out of the setup window. The heart of the design is the signature Schelle 5 hole bump valvings, based on tuning a base 5 hole piston (1.4F, 1.5R).  In 2024, Wenger and the team expanded the options going up and down in pack a tiny step from the standard baseline, adding 2 new options to fine tune for smooth tracks as well as un-groomed outdoors.  Piston O.D. and 2.5mm thickness is based on the “H” Hi-Flow profile. The unique Bypass1 system was the perfect way to add extra tuning to the rebound stroke of the shock and improve jumping, prevent wheel hop, all while keeping the vehicles smooth and predictable in turns. Racers can use MIP’s patented Bypass1 system with coloured valves to fine tune the rebound speed engineered to work in a wide range of conditions and take full advantage over the Xtra Tune-able Rebound (XTR!) of the system.
