Max Power have introduced two new pipes for use with their line of .12 engines. Made from high resonance aluminium material which has been hand soldered for a perfect finish, the new 2011 pipes have a stronger stinger which is also conical for improved performance. Available now in two lengths, #2665 for high torque and #2666 for top speed.
The Nitro-West-Masters, a soaring series of nitro on-road races in Western Germany, will continue in 2011 for its third year. Five races, a new class and a new procedure as well as the Nitro-West-Warmup are the main novelties for the upcoming season. Following three rounds in 2009 and four in 2010 the championship will extend to five races on five different tracks. Beside the regular categories 1/8 scale (VG8) and 1/10 scale 200mm (VG10), the so called HC8 is announced for the Nitro-West-Masters for the first time. Key point of the HC8 is the mandatory use of a unified engine, the Novarossi N21-ST including the EFRA #2015 pipe. This class is based on the Hobby-Cup, a competition organized by Shepherd Micro Racing and successfully held in the south and mid-region of Germany in recent years.
Exotek Racing continue to expand their line of LiPo chassis’ with the release of the new XX for the Hot Bodies TCX. This high performance multi adjustment ultra narrow LiPo chassis is only 90mm wide across the rear and at 2mm thick it improves flex all while reducing the overall center of gravity over the stock chassis. Team Associated were on top form again at Moto Arena in Silverstone, where the Milton Keynes Club were the hosts for the latest round of the Orion On-road Cup. With a full meeting of 14 heats to get through, it meant four rounds of qualifying and one final for all. In the hotly contested modified field recent TC6 convert Johnny Aird continued his good form to claim second on the grid whilst in the 10.5t class Keith Robertson took third on the grid at his first meeting with the new TC6, using Novak Kinetic/Ballistic power. In the mod final Johnny took an early lead and never looked back to take a fine win. The 10.5t final was a great race with some really close racing. With the five minutes up, Keith put the power of the new Reedy 60C Lipo battery to good effect and took the win to make another double victory for the Associated touring team.

New from Xray is this frame containing composite parts, except pistons, for two short Xray shock absorbers. These new shock parts feature the upper shock cap with a hole which allows for faster, easier and more comfortable shocks rebound adjustment. Fits all Xray electric and nitro touring shocks.

Thunder Tiger Europe have signed Polish National Champion Dennis Fadtke to race their line of Associated electric cars. The German driver, who raced a Tamiya in the past will run the TC6 touring car internationally as well as running the B4.1, B44.1 and RC12RS at selected events. Dennis is looking forward to working together with TTE and wanted to give special thanks to Niko Triandafilidis for his great support in previous years.
The French importers of the Italian made Genius range of 1/5th scale cars was in contact to tell us about the new Genius FR Formula one car. Made using the best materials, all aluminium parts are made in ergal, it is the first 1/5 F1 designed with real front wing and rear diffuser such as those seen on a real car. Designed to be easy to maintain, you can quickly dismantle the rear differential, change the gear transmission and adjust the shocks. The suspension arms feature a uniball which through the use of plates tightened between the ball and arm allow for easy adjustment of the front and rear camber as well as rear toe. The car is also very lightweight for this class, weighing in at only 11kg.

After 3 successful years with Team Xray I’m happy that we continue our partnership in the future. In the upcoming season I will race not only the 1/10 nitro touring with the Xray NT1 but also I will compete in the German 1/8 On-road Championship with the brand new Xray RX8. My main goal for the upcoming 1/10 nitro touring racing session is to win the European Championship title again, this time in my home country.
