Having got the World Exclusive on the new TC6 at the World Championships in Burgdorf back in June, Team Associated have released full details on their new electric touring car chassis. Designed to take full advantage of all the latest technological advances made in 1:10 scale electronics, the TC6 has been optimized to use all of the benefits offered by brushless motor systems and LiPo batteries. The engineers behind the doors of Area 51 have been hard at work developing the TC6 to blend the best qualities of high performance and adjustability without sacrificing durability or ease of maintenance.

Edam Spirit bulkheads, engine mount & gearbox

Edam Racing have released a number of new optional parts for their Spirit 1/10th 200mm chassis. First up are these CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminium front bulkheads with gold anodized surface treatment. Designed to provide better steering and overall stiffness at the front part of the car. Also new is this one piece engine mount, also made from gold anodised 7075-T6 aluminium, designed to be lightweight and enhance the car’s overall responsiveness. Edam have also released this upgraded 2-speed gearbox system consisting of q lightweight 1st & 2nd speed housing, with modified 6x10x13mm bearing positioning within the 2nd speed housing for more consistency during gear shifts.

Lee Martin wins 2wd European Championships

Tamiya Factory driver Lee Martin has won the 2wd electric buggy European Championships in Vienna Austria, having started the race from pole. Austrians filled the remaining steps of the podium with Hupo Honigl, driving a prototype 2wd Durango, taking 2nd ahead of Peter Pinisch in 3rd with the Associated B4.1 chassis.

Masters of Foamracing – Announcement

Masters of Foamracing - Announcement

The organiser of the Masters of Foamracing, Markus Mobers, has been in touch to let us know that the event will be taking this year from the 9th to 10th of October. Run for the first time in 2008, that time attracting drivers from 8 different countries, the race is only open for 1/12th and 1/10th scale pan cars only and will be run in central Germany, in Schermbeck at the famous Sipotech track (above). Entry is currently open, limited to 80 drivers and will close on the 3rd of October. You can find out more information and place your entry at the Sipotech site here.

Bultynck & Vekemans win Belgian Nats Rd5

The fifth round of the Belgian Electric touring Nationals took place at the Baanbrekers track in Rucphen, the Netherlands. The weather was sunny and dry and the track was fast. In the EFRA class was the goal for the rest of the racers to stop Olivier Bultynck clinching the crown. But in the qualifications Ollie was very fast and took the TQ spot. Thomas Stockman and Nick Joosens took second and third place respectively.

New from TOP Racing for their Photon touring car are these optional centre pulleys. Made from hard anodized aluminium, and combined with holes along the flange to allow dirt to escape, these new parts are more durable than the standard plastic parts.

Simon Kurzbuch wins Rd4 of Swiss 1/8th Nats

Round 4 of the Swiss 1/8th scale Nationals took place under very sunny conditions at the nice Sitterdorf track. It was the first race during the seasonĀ  where the racers could drive their cars in dry conditions. The drivers within the expert class made an exciting main final on Sunday afternoon. Simon Kurzbuch with his Velox V8 had very good qualification runs and started on pole position into this main. He was very fast from the beginning of the main final and could held the first position for a long time, but the really exciting part came in the last 10 minutes.
