Novarossi 2660 & 2084 tune pipes

Novarossi 2660 & 2084 tune pipes

Novarossi have introduced 2 new tuned pipes for the 2010 season, the first of which is the EFRA 2660 which is for the 1:10 Touring category. This new pipe may look similar to the last one, but some internal changes means that on the track this new pipe performs better throughout the rev range. Also new for the 1:8 Off-road category is the EFRA 2084, where the company’s quest for better drivability and lower fuel consumption resulted in this new tuned pipe. Falling into the ‘Super Strong’ range, it is more resistant to the rough world of 1:8 scale Off-road competition. Expect to see both in mid March.

Andersson secures Indoor Euros runner up spot

Andersson secures Indoor Euros runner up spot

Team Yokomo/LRP factory driver Ronald Völker took the European title following the first two A-main legs and so chose to sit out and watch the last final. With Ronald absent from the starting grid it gave Christer Andesson the virtual pole position and a clean track ahead of him and was  followed by Alexander Hagberg but his car seemed a little loose and difficult right from the start. Marc Rheinard was pushing him hard for many laps and made an awesome pass at the front chicane to take second place. This battle allowed Andersson to drive his own race and pull a gap, but Marc did his best to catch up.

Ronald Volker is European Indoor Champion

Ronald Volker is European Indoor Champion

Ronald Volker is the new European Indoor Touring Champion for 2010. The German Yokomo driver once again put in a mistake free final to build the gap to second place driver Christer Andersson bit by bit. Both put in a clean run and Völker didn’t give Andersson any chance to close the gap even though he came across traffic at the end. Alexander Hagberg had a better start this leg and kept his 3rd place despite Marc Rheinard being all over the back him. Marc did have a few opportunities to pass Hagberg but thought the better of it to avoid a crash, but eventually rolled his car and let long line of cars go by.
