CEFX Evolution for Photon & TRF416

Having brought you the first CAD images of the new CEFX Evolution conversion for the TOP Photon, we have now received the first photos of the final conversion. Designed to improve traction, balance, drivability and ease of maintenance, it will be available as a full conversion set for the Photon, however a lot of the parts work with the Tamiya TRF416 and you can see those parts mounted in the release photos.

Cristian Faur clean sweep at Romanian Indoor Rd1

Last weekend in Pucioasa, Romania was the first round of the indoor touring car and micro rc national championships and it saw a very intense competition in three classes, 1:10 touring modified, stock and micro 1:18 scale. All important brands where present as well as the top pilots from Romania, but after 2 days it was to be only one driver to emerge on top. In the modified, 13.5 stock and micro seniors class, FX Modells driver Cristian Faur took the wins from pole position using his Serpent S400 powered by Team Tekin speed controller and Abec35 bearings.

Jerome Renaux joins Capricorn RC

Jerome Renaux joins Capricorn RC

Italian company Capricorn RC have announced that top Belgian driver Jerome Renaux has signed a deal to be part of their team. The European 200mm Championship direct qualifier will use Capricorn’s full range of optional parts on his Xray NT1 for the 2010 season as he competes at this year’s World and European Championships.

KM Racing NT1 spurs & V-One RRR brake pulley

New from KM Racing for the Xray NT1, are these low friction, long life spur gears. Made from a special harder plastic they are available in a 59T first gear and 54T second gear. Also from KM for the Kyosho V-One RRR, is this aluminium 21T brake pulley. Hard anodised it is lightweight and prevents the accumulation of dust on the teeth.

Rene Puepke wins 1/10 opener in Western Germany

He did it again, Rene Puepke has won the first of four races of the 2010 Western German Championship in the 1/10th nitro class just as he did one year ago. At the unforgiving 267 meter track at Dormagen, before the gates of Cologne, the Mugen team driver finished first with a two lap advantage over Serpent racer Tobias Hepp and another lap in front of Mugen fellow Daniel Thiele.

Team Magic Switzerland sign Shasa Lackner

Team Magic Switzerland & Germany distributor, HRC Distribution, are pleased to announce that they have signed Swiss driver Shasa Lackner to race for their team in 1/10th scale. The 1/8th scale on road Junior European Champion, and winner of the first round of the Swiss 1/8th Nationals last weekend, will race the 1/10th 200mm Swiss Nationals, as well as various major European races, with the Team Magic G4RS ’09 and will represent Team Magic and HRC at all 1/10 nitro on road competitions. Shasa continues to run for Motonica in 1/8th scale and Corally in 1/10th EP.

Moore & Stiles wins Union Square GP

Despite having to pull out of the last final, top qualifier Andy Moore sealed victory at the Union Square Grand Prix. Two wins for the Hot Bodies driver in legs one and two of the A final sealed the victory as Andy gave the UK debut to the new prototype Cyclone. A strong drive all weekend netted the Xray pairing of Phil Chambers and Johnny Aird second and third.

Kawada M300 rear motor pod brace

New from Kawada for their M300RSX V2 & M300FX, is this rear motor pod brace. Made from aluminium, the new brace connects using 4 points, as opposed to the 2 points on the previous version. This creates a much stiffer assembly and provides better alignment of the rear bearing blocks as well as improved cornering stability.
